Or try the Laurent-Perrier Rose
The Dom is priced noticeably above a good retail price at the SkyClub, so redeeming at 2 cents there is not quite as good as the LP Rose. The LP Rose is priced at $80 in the SkyClub, which is equivalent to a very good retail price, and then you get it at 2 cents so only 4,000 miles. Check it out!

Hmm, frankly not a fan of either (for the price). Esp the Dom 2009 which we had with caviar this past NYE . I don’t like Moët at all either, so maybe it’s a style thing.
My current favorite is the Taittinger Comtes de C (similar price range), and I also really like LP Grand Siecle, for even less.

Tip the lounge attendant $20 not to open the bottle and instead put it on your carry-on and bring it aboard. Yes, you can bring your own bottle of wine on-board and even drink from it, if the flight crew allows you.

Some one more knowledgeable will chime in but I don't think they allow you to take liquor out of SC. Of course sneaking it out is another thing.
but the "federal regulations do not allow passengers to drink their own alcohol" is announced on every flight... I think...

§ 121.575 Alcoholic beverages.
(a) No person may drink any alcoholic beverage aboard an aircraft unless the certificate holder operating the aircraft has served that beverage to him.

You may bring wine, champagne or beer on a flight for consumption during the flight if it is in an unopened container. If you’d like to drink the alcohol you carry on, you may give it to one of our in-flight crewmembers, and they will be happy to serve it to you.”

Passengers cannot serve themselves alcohol. However, if a FA serves your own alcohol to you, it's legal:
JeBlue expressly permits this:
I don't know Delta's official stance, but it's not illegal.

Other airlines, at least formally, have policies stating that pax alcohol can be consumed *AS LONG AS* it is served by the crew. Alaska is a leader at nothing, so I wouldn't read too deeply into anything they say.

It's not illegal. Here are the relevant CFRs:
14 C.F.R. 121.575
§ 121.575 Alcoholic beverages.(a) No person may drink any alcoholic beverage aboard an aircraft unless the certificate holder operating the aircraft has served that beverage to him.
(b) No certificate holder may serve any alcoholic beverage to any person aboard any of its aircraft who -
(1) Appears to be intoxicated;
(2) Is escorting a person or being escorted in accordance with 49 CFR 1544.221; or
(3) Has a deadly or dangerous weapon accessible to him while aboard the aircraft in accordance with 49 CFR 1544.219, 1544.221, or 1544.223.
(c) No certificate holder may allow any person to board any of its aircraft if that person appears to be intoxicated.
(d) Each certificate holder shall, within five days after the incident, report to the Administrator the refusal of any person to comply with paragraph (a) of this section, or of any disturbance caused by aperson who appears to be intoxicated aboard any of its aircraft.

Many or most states allow you yo take an unopened bottle of wine with you. It's more likely a case of internal restaurant, or in this case Delta, policy. Delta says this isn't allowed, which is their prerogative. I'm sure 99% of employees wouldn't let you do this, but a generous tip may get you something, somewhere.

I really like a nice glass of sparkling wine. I personally think that there are many great bottles to be had in the $50 range and that spending on Dom is just a waste of money. You are paying for the label, not the product.

I absolutely agree, the Laurent Perrier Rose is a very solid use for 4K miles.
