SkyBonus Upgrade Award question

I just booked a Europe-USA ticket using a SkyBonus business class upgrade award. The reservation shows my business class seat, although I have not yet actually handed in the award cert. Any idea if my seat will continue to be confirmed without handing in the cert?

where would you hand the cert into?

I would have to call in and attach it to the res.

My *guess* is that your itinerary is showing the business class seat but your ticket hasn't been reissued in business class. If this doesn't happen, you won't be flying in business class.

My experience in my last two SB bookings is that they will 'book' the reservation, but it is on a hold, until you turn in your cert numbers.
Supposedly after 48 hours, that hold on the 'booking' gets released.

Call SkyBonus right away with certs and PNR and ask them to put the ticket through for manual reissue. You don't want to mess with this, as you might lose your seat (and upgraded seats are not easy to come by).
