Delta flight paid with Chase Ultimate Rewards points & cash ?

I am looking at booking a TATL flight using a combination of Chase Ultimate Rewards points and cash.
When I go through the booking I do not see any fare details at all.

Questions:
How can I find the fare code I am actually booking?
Will MQM and MQD be earned when booking through something like this ?

I wanna make sure I am not booking a BE fare for that amount of points / cash

Assuming this is only a flight (and not some sort of vacation deal), this is a cash ticket at 1.25 cents for every point spent. You will earn MQDs based on that math.

i do not see where to find fare rules, but if you open the "rules and restrictions" window you can see if seat selection is available.

Just run the same search on dl.com and see the price/fare combination there. In my experience, chase just pulls whatever is showing up on dl.com. So if it's 387.50 x fare on dl.com, the 387.50 on chase is the same thing.

You will earn MQM // MQD

Thanks you.
One other thing I need to consider is if the fare they are selling me is eligible for GUC's

Once you purchase with UR and cash you will get a receipt showing fare codes (Y, J, etc). Also on the UR itin.
if need be you can use the 24 hour cancel rule.
The full cash price of the ticket plus fees, taxes will be on the DL receipt once the ticket is issued. But the cc number will not be yours, but a number that UR issues for purchases.
Same for tickets purchased with USBank flex perks.

As far as Delta is concerned, this is a ticket issued with a MasterCard.

Its a revenue ticket. And you’ll be able to use a GUC.

I've not seen anyone book a "consolidator fare" or anything of the sort using the Chase travel portal. As far as I know, they're only showing published revenue fare classes like you'd find on delta.com. Regardless of what combination of miles and UR points you use, the full cost of the fare will be "purchased" from Delta by Chase, and it will show as a revenue flight with the proper MQMs and MQDs for the fare class bought.

A couple of years ago, when Chase couldn't distinguish BE fares from non-BE, I called in and asked to book a specific fare class - they were able to price it and buy it over the phone. These days I don't think that's necessary, but if you want to be sure, you can always call and ask.

I definitely want to avoid form ending up with a BE fare.
I looked at the Delta Fare breakdown on some other site and from what I could gather there were only two fares that allow SWU / GUC ? Maybe that info is outdated?

Any fare other than E is eligible for a certificate sponsored upgrade. Again, you'll be fine to use the certificate booking on chase.

Thank you !!

Now I just need to figure out which flights have availability for GUC upgrades
Am I going to have to book, then check with Delta and if there is no availability cancel and then rebook call again, rinse repeat etc etc ?

Sorry for all these questions....never used Chase Rewards and/or GUC's

Chase travel portal is now powered by Expedia on the back end if I'm not mistaken. You should be able to run the same search on Expedia.com and see the exact same flight results (just not able to use UR to pay for part of it) and be able to get any additional details you are looking for (if they are masked on the Chase portal).

What's your intended routing? It's very easy to call the DM line and say, "Hi, I'd like to know if there is availability to clear a GUC on the following flight/ or on a city pair/ etc." If they say yes, book the flights, then have the agent process.

Since you're new to GUCs, have you already selected them as a DM benefit? They have a 1 year shelf life from date of selection as a choice benefit. If you haven't, it's takes a few hours for them to appear after you select them, but it's at least all within the 24 hour cancel period to cancel if your plan doesn't work out.
