The Delta FT Photograph Collection- a flame free thread
Hi all, I took a shot of the tarmac at SEA from the club yesterday and got several likes when I posted it in a different thread.
This inspired me to start what I hope is a cool new project in the DL forum: a FT Delta Photo Collection (with only minimal positive comments or questions if any and none is better) and nothing negative or critical. I'm interested in seeing cool shots of DL planes, clubs, terminals, takeoffs/landings, DL gear etc. Of course, all FT rules apply.
A few suggestions:
-Photos of food or drink in clubs/onboard should not be here, they belong in the appropriate thread.
-This is for photos people are proud of and think others will find interesting:
Don't post the shot of another pax doing something annoying (i.e. feet on the bulkhead, changing their kids diaper on the tray table, etc).
DO post that great shot of of a DELTA 757 taking off, or the interesting way that light is making the jet bridge look at sunrise on a freezing cold day at MSP. Hope that all makes sense.
I'll start with a few to give an example. I really hope this can be a cool and creative thread, and it won't be taken over by critics or naysayers, or even those who have a great sense of humor but whose humor tends to lead things OT or cause other problems. Thanks!!

Love this idea! I enjoy snapping aviation photos but theyre never as professional as the plane spotter sites demand, so I end up with nowhere to share them (or to appreciate other casual snapshots from others).
Here are a few rare shots from the SkyTeam MegaDo last October to help kick things off:

Delta hangar at SEA

A 737 in for a bit of light lime maintenance in Seattle

The rear of the aircraft with the hangar doors closed

The final stop in the baggage handling system, where bags are unloaded and receive their final scan before heading onto the carousel. Much more manual than I had envisioned!

Deltas SEA ops center. Its painfully small because theyre crammed in a temporary space in S right now but they hope to eventually expand. Really impressive seeing the amount of coordination under one roof - I had imagined a lot of this would happen in ATL but it seems a surprising amount is handled locally, including onsite links to catering and fueling.

Ok, two contributions:
A couple in the Cascade range

and, the coolest surprise. This quote was stuck on the window in DEN (maybe the United terminal, sorry). But I love the book and was so excited to see this travel quote

Brilliant (!) idea, but... is there any such thing as a Flame Free Thread on the Internet?
My pithy contribution from our AirBnB in Eilat, Israel.

ABOVE: Can you guess which club and which seat this photo was snapped from? And what about all those UFOs in the Sky?
BELOW: Can we include SkyTeam members, or is is exclusive to DL only? If so, which ST member and what plane is this photo from?

Glad people like the concept!! Thanks for helping to get it started!!
I think a rare ST photo is OK, but I suggest we primarily stick with DL, and also avoid guessing games to prevent the thread from being filled with chatter, sound OK? I'm thinking of how beautiful it will be to scroll through lots of great photos and minimal comments. Thanks for the posting photos!

As for the F class guessing game, thats ones easy - the logo on the bedding is a dead giveaway for AF La Premiere. That looks like some seriously cozy sleep in the sky!

Preflight

Not only did he do the preflight, he also picked up a couple of pieces of debris.
Not a great picture but I'm always impressed by the million little things that a lot of people have to do that ensures a safe trip.

From just over 2 years ago as I prepared to board our flight from NRT to DTW - my one and only flight on a DL 747 - picture was a bit poetic with the sun setting on the Queen of the Skies

Me (wearing NWA cap) with a friend using stairs in front and back. I realize it's not a huge revelation, but, I think it's fair to say that most of us don't see it too often. The third pic is me <obviously> at the top of the stairs!

I was gonna leave speculation as to what airport / city this is, but, since you don't want too much chatter, I'll tell'ya . . . . It's CTG - Cartagena Colombia.

I also just noticed that these must've been taken on different days (arrival & departure) since I have some white-ish beard growth in the 3rd pic, but not the first!
