The point is that by using apps and data readily available online you can identify a plane flying overhead, I think.

Often when out waiting for the dog to sniff around to do his thing, I use an app like "Plane Finder" to see what's overhead. On a clear day, the challenge is to identify any of the through traffic from the midwest to Fla, and not just the flights leaving ATL. It beats watching an animal choose a place to defecate.
