I don't think SEAKIX is getting an a/c upgrade. It's actually going "seasonal"

Also, of note, the A339neo is now loaded in the system and flights (w/ PS) are available for sale as DL promised in their PR on Thurs. As scheduled, there's going to be a ton of SkyTeam capacity on SEAICN.

DL has them added to their latest schedule: SEA-PVG-SEA legs begin 339 svc (replacing the 76E's - well B767-300ER's) on 2019-July-1. SEA-ICN-SEA legs begin 339 svc (again replacing 76E's) on 2019-August-1. SEA-NRT-SEA legs begin 339 svc (replacing FLAGSHIP 359 - well A350-900XWB) on 2019-August-31. It appears that DL is only getting 4 of these type of aircraft this year, so 3 routes will use them quite efficiently / totally / fully.

The purchase commitments in the annual report show 4 this year, 4 next year, 9 in 2021, and 18 beyond.

Hopefully we see SEA-AMS-SEA switch over next year too. DL142/143 is currently year-round on the A333, so it sounds like the A339neo would be a match for this route.

A359 is probably too much plane for SEA-NRT-SEA when 3 airlines are flying it (JL will start it later this month)

Looks like the seat map is live on delta.com.
Apologies if this has already been posted but the A330-900 seat map page was just a shell (info but no graphic) last time I checked a few days ago.

The lav at door 2R seems to be shared between DL1 & DPS; glad to see six lavs for 224 total W + Y pax; eases the ratio compared to the -300.

Their A332/3s have two lavs by the cockpit whereas it appears the A339 only has one, so it looks like they moved the second one to the rear of the D1 cabin.

Given its location (forward of the curtain demarcating PS), I would say it is for the D1 cabin only.

Thanks for posting this. But I agree with M2578Z, I don't see any reason to believe that the rear D1 lav is also for PS passengers.

I'm pretty sure seat 7J is drawn wrong, most likely the seat is closer to the aisle than the window

They list the PS seats as 18.5" in width. I hope that's wrong. No reason to not offer 20"!

I wonder why DL is switching the layout in D1 as to which seats are closer to the aisle and the window. On the 767 and A350, the Odd # rows are closer to the window, but on the 777 retrofits and now the 339, the even # rows are closer to the windows.

The front row of window suites always has the seat near the aisle. On the A350, the front row of window suites just happens to be row 2 (row 1 is a center pair only) so all the even/odd are opposite

Well, if they keep an 18.5" width they might be able to use the same seat as the A350. NW used 'narrow' seats on 320s and 319s to have commonality with the seats on 727s and 757s.

I know, I just really hope they don't. That extra width really makes a bid difference, and if they are having a huge custom built order of these, why not offer customers that space instead of just a wider aisle?

Keeping a consistent seat size across all aircraft types sets expectations for customers. While it would certainly be nice to have a wider seat if the cabin width is there, I think making the A350/777 PS seat feel inferior would not be a good move.

I mean look how much we all complain the 767 D1 seat (I know not an direct comparison, but you get my point).

In addition to M2578Z's remarks on setting customer expectations it comes down to how they value commonality for procurement and maintenance. NW put 100-130 narrow seats each on the 319/320 subfleet (about 125 aircraft in total) to maintain coach seat commonality. Do I think DL would like to have the same PS seat on 25 350s and 35 339s? I wouldn't bet against it...

Just took another look at the DL website, and they list PS seats in the 777 cabin at 19" and the MC at 18.5" (as opposed to 18.5 and 18 on the airbus). Apparently DL is not committed to having the same seats in all PS or MC cabins fleet-wide. I will not be surprised if the 18.5" listing is wrong and the PS seats are actually wider on the A330, considering that the certainly have ample room.
