Lounge access at ICN?

upcoming flight ICN-MSP in D1, I assume there's a Korean Air Lounge I have access to?? Anyone know which one? Do they have showers? Is there anything worthwhile about this lounge that would make me want to get there early? (other than a shower, which i may need after a day of sightseeing before a 740pm flight).

thanks.

You can use either KE lounge (main terminal or in the satellite, or as they call it "concourse").

KE lounges have really bad food and are overcrowded. Do have showers. You want to minimize your time there, though, as little sitting, no real food, very crowded. Just go there for the shower.

Came here just to say that they are always crowded AND hot AF. Truly terrible alcohol selections. The last two times there's been a mushroom fried rice that is kinda tasty, but if you're flying D1, skip it.

KE and DL both use the new terminal 2 at ICN, not the satellite. The lounge is new and not very good. It looks like IKEA and some things like the location of water are very badly planned.

Are any of the T2 Priority Pass lounges any better? There appear to be 3 and all look 'fine'

I recently wrote up a basic comparison in a PP thread including one of the KE lounges:

We were there for a 9 hours layover in December and will be there again in a week. Return is SIN to INC on Korean metal. ICN to ATL D1. In December, Korean Air lounge was not crowded and food was ok. I believe it was a business class lounge. We are flying D1 back to SIN in May - all Delta through NRT. No more 9 hour layovers for us.

The KE lounges do have lockers, some big enough for a rollaboard just past the entrance. Great to stash your stuff & wander the airport. The beer machine is sorta neat (though not the beer it pours). Food = meh.

I wouldn't get too excited about KE lounges. As others have stated they basically suck. Food is subpar and liquor is close to non existent. Just Whiskey andy maybe one other spirit if I recall right.

They have bad white and bad red wine.

The Korean Air Prestige lounges in T2 are much better than the old ones in T1 and the Concourse. Food is improved and one can actually make a decent meal. Alcohol appears to be the same, I like the Ballantine's scotch.

Here is a review of the West Prestige lounge:

A review of the East Prestige lounge:

And a review of T2 Priority Pass lounges:

B/t/w/ I think Korean Air only has lounges in T2 now since that is where its operations are located..

I disagree. It was older, but I liked the KE lounge in T1 (not the satellite KE lounge for partner flights, which was IKEA plus KE white and turquoise plastic), especially the rather private soft chair with a good reading light plus a small desk in a sort of cubicle overlooking the terminal concourse seating area. It was like a minisuite and very comfy.

Showers and facilities are comfortable. Nothing worth going extra early for. I had an evening flight out and had maybe a 5-10' wait for the showers.
KE lounges anywhere have never really impressed me, but they're functional and do the trick.

I flew Korean out to NZ and crowded + hot AF was exactly how their lounges were at Incheon. The smoking areas at the airport were cooler... (though only just).

Korean did keep the plane itself slightly warmer than I'd have liked but did provide some kind of mist spray which I emptied both flights lol. The lounge was at least 3-4C hotter than the hottest the plane got. The rest of the airport, while not air conditioned to US levels of cool, was comfortable so it seems unique to the Korean Air preferences not generally at Incheon. The food was uninspiring and most of the locals in the lounge appeared to be eating sandwiches which wasn't a ringing endorsement of the local food on offer. The wine in the lounge seemed horrific whatever it was.

I decamped (thanks to PP from a CC) and checked out a random two PP lounges that were available and while much smaller they were not crowded, plenty of loungers available, and one had a really pleasant buffet selection out so I had lunch there in the end. Oh and they were a pleasant temperature. I think if you sat in the Korean lounge for too long after your shower you'd have to go have another one so def don't get there early! If you have PP and don't need a shower (I wasn't looking for one so not sure what shower facilities in any of the PP lounges are like) then decamp into one of those instead.

If you have several hours I've found the Transit Hotel great. I can grab a few hours of sleep, a shower, and relax without all the fuss. It's across from one of the lounges so it's easy to grab food/booze before and/or after the hotel. I've usually paid about $50 for +/- 4 hours and always just walked in without a reservation and had no problems.
