Please accept our apology for the continued delay in receiving your Two
Million Miler baggage tags. We clearly are having difficulty with the
vender that provide the Million Miler bag tags. We have contacted our
Fulfillment center to advise them that you have not yet receive your
luggage tags. They have advised us that they will investigate the issue
and reorder the bags tags for you.
Unfortunately, we cannot advise of a timeline for the delivery of these
tags. We will continue to follow up to see when the issues with their
delivery will be resolved.
Please accept our apology for the unfavorable impression you received in
this instance. We appreciate your selection of Delta and will always
consider it a privilege to be of service.

Per this thread it seems some people got metal Platinum luggage tags, some of us got plastic PM luggage tags. (I got plastic)
What's with that?

Diamond desk told me in May that the packet would arrive by end of May. It’s July and still a no show. Guess Delta is foregoing the packets this year and here is to the 2020 packets. How in the world does a company who’s stated focus is on their customers, so royally screw up their credential program? This doesn’t effect the overall flying experience, it is just indicative of folks either asleep at the wheel or intentionally slow walking the sun setting of the packet program with the intent of doing away with it altogether at some point in lieu of a cheater digital version. Blaming it on the vendor is a no-no as that is none of a customers concern.

It's not a credential. It's a credential-shaped knick-knack. As you noted, it doesn't affect the flying experience at all, you aren't being denied any benefits.

FWIW, I do use the luggage tags for my roller bag as those tags have seemingly kept my bag in its place when FA’s start rooting around looking to move things about - there is a value to them if status identification isn’t your thing. I don’t use them on the bag I keep with me.

Perhaps Delta would be better to simply let folks know that these tokens are no longer being sent?

One time the guy across the isle said "Wow, you're a Diamond and didn't get upgraded" -- I did let him know that I was a "Fallen Diamond" but also that in my last two years of DM I got exactly one Medallion upgrade.

I received the plastic PM luggage tags as well, did you receive a PM physical card for lounge access? I keep hearing about some lounges that won't accept the digital card.

Data Point:
I am a Silver Medallion, who received two plastic silver DL bag tags in the mail a couple weeks ago (which was about 2 weeks after I crossed the threshold to qualify for Silver Medallion in 2020).

A new update (seriously Not edited!) - maybe they need a new Vender!
“”Thank you for contacting us again regarding your delayed baggage tags. I
cannot apologize enough for how long this is taking.
Our vender had several issues this year when processing our requested
quantity up until the end of March. I understand that now it is well
passed that, and that we are hoping for a confirmed delivery in a few
weeks. An order was processed June 17th and from there it can take up to
six weeks to receive. That date is now July 29th. I really hope that you
receive them sooner, and I am so sorry for all of the hassle.
Thank you for your support as a Diamond Medallion 2.9 Million Miler and
for trusting your business to us. Be assured, we will make every
attempt to make this right, and I regret the inconvenience.
Sincerely, “”

Nothing for me either. I’ve been denied entry to three premium security checks in different Italian airports because I did not have the card to prove eligibility when flying in Y. Agents says DM and Elite Plus on boarding pass was not enough. Let’s hope this time they actually arrive by the end of the month.
