Seatguru doesn't have a map for the refurbished 764, so don't use that (and even if it did, Seatguru is frequently wrong anyway)

This is a 767-400 seat map. The 330 has 2-4-2 economy.

Well then why does it say A330-200 at the top of the seat map?

Whatever plane it is, 2-2-2 in PS is a very nice option for shorter (8-10 hr) daytime flights. I would take it over J for westbound TATLs, certainly, given the usual premium for J on those routes.

According to the online seat map, it appears that Seat 1A table is on the right as it is on the current 764 configuration. It also appears that these mods added a lavatory in the front of the D1 cabin.

Thanks for the replies. Can’t wait to fly the new configuration to Zurich. Love the addition of the extra lav in the front.

Delta announced today additional flights/routes (and the expected timing) which will be getting the refurbished 764s in a press release:

https://news.delta.com/delta-rolls-o...-south-america

Routes:
JFK-LHR
JFK-ZRH
JFK-BRU
JFK-NCE
JFK-GRU
BOS-LHR
ATL-LHR
ATL-CDG
ATL-BRU
ATL-ZRH (seasonal)
ATL-MUC
ATL-EZE
DTW-LHR
MSP-LHR
PDX-LHR

Basically all LHR flights will be getting them with the exception of SLC. All of the above will be getting them by Q2 2020 which pretty much means they expect the entire fleet to be refurbished by Q2 2020 since the above list will pretty much take up all 21 764s.

The cabin configuration and details are also now up on delta.com and in the delta app. Also interesting they mention a "self-serve area" for snacks and beverages in D1, which sounds like a more dedicated area rather than just a galley countertop as in most aircraft today...

refurbished 764

DL408 JFK-ZRH switched from the A332 to the refurbished 764. I'm flying in economy, and have heard (and witnessed some) horrible things about the 764 in economy. I couldn't find a threat about the refurbished 764 in economy.
I can't find the version of the 764 that Delta is showing me on Seatguru. For example, is row 40 an exit row with more legroom? Will the B, D and F seats still have the awful media box in the foot spaces? One would definitely hope that the ancient IFE's will be history? Which row(s) are equipped for skycots? Is this enough of a change to warrant a free change to the itinerary? Does the 764 have the "new interior" the website is advertising, or is that for the A321?

What's wrong with the 764 in Economy? I actually think the 767s are some of the best if you're flying in Y simply because there's only one middle seat in each row. If you're flying as a couple the 2-seat rows are just fine.

AFAIK, change in equip is not enough to warrant free change. DL is usually lenient about if they are changing from a lie-flat to non-lie-flat, but that wouldn't apply to this change since a) still lie-flat and b) not in J.

(Disclaimer: Although it's a bit worn and the IFE is old, I actually don't mind the current 767 J seats, either. But I'm apparently in the minority.)

The first refurbished 764 just got back to the States today so you're not going to find anything online detailing the cabin experience at this point! The Seatguru map you have above is of the old 764 while the Delta seat map you have above is that of the refurbished plane. The new IFE system throughout the aircraft is wireless (so there won't be those boxes under the seat in front of you and the screens will essentially be tablets (they will be 10.1 inch wide screens in Y) - just like on the new A220s and the new A330-900s.

Given that the first route with a refurbished 764 doesn't start until mid-November, what is ship 1804 going to do until then?

The A332 has the couple of seats at the window as well, together with a much newer interior and better IFE, no media boxes and more room in general. Obviously, I'm comparing to the old/current 764, where I've heard of lots of tired/old/cramping/broken issues, and experienced broken seat and crappy IFE on 2 out 2 flights myself. On one flight, the overhead flashing strobe lights were on for almost the entire 10 hour flight, the crew tried to reset them several times, each time disabling everyone's IFE's, to no avail. I had to place tape over my strobe and the 2 ahead of me, b/c it caused me a severe headache. Some passengers were afraid they were going to get a seizure. When flying in Economy, you really rely on the few spaces that are available to stow yourself and your stuff. So having no foot well for your personal item is an issue. I vowed to never fly that plane TATL again, and selected the JFK-ZRH because it was originally on a A332.
