No doors on D1 Suites and new seat count noted in jrkmsp's thread from 4/4/19: old config was C40/W28/Y178 = 246 seats...new config is C34/W20/Y+28/Y156 = 238 seats. https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delt...ave-doors.html

Delta announced that 764s will get the new wireless IFE system developed by Delta Flight Products.
Seat 4D is configured as a Crew Rest Seat and will be X'd out on seat maps for flights where it's use is required.
The footwells in Row 1 are larger. 1A and 1D are larger than 1B and 1C.
Existing Wi-Fi is GoGo 2Ku, and there is no Live TV.

According to two normally reliable sources on a.net! And "n515cr" updated the WiKi above to reflect the same! On UA's Polaris equipped B763ERs, there are 30 J seats in 10 rows, so it will be interesting to see the seat map when it appears for the B764s to see what they're doing with the cabins! Obviously the current B764 D1 cabin has 40 vs 36 seats in the high J B763ERs, so not a direct comparison with UA's Polaris B763ERs. I would hope/expect the D1 lavatories to be relocated to the front of the new cabin for starters!

Given widespread reports of PS fares going for less than economy on some routes...yes? I suspect the return of Comfort+ implies the same, though they must be having some success with it since they’re continuing the rollout (thank goodness! I love me some PE when paying cash).

It looks like N829MH has come back from CAN. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/n829mh
and N832MH has gone to CAN. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/n832mh

Future flights on N829MH are showing the old seat map, so I think its month-long stay at CAN was for MX, not suite installation.

Correct.

Pretty sure the plan is for only one mod line till STC is finished and the summer season ends.

Correct.

Also N832MH has entered CAN for heavy mx, not D1 Suites. WiKi updated.

The schedule for the D1 Suites mods hasn't been revealed, but it's been reported that once the prototype has been finished, that there will be 4 mod-lines at CAN starting in the fall, and the remaining 20 frames will be finished by summer 2020.

I may be jumping the gun here, but four lines for 21 aircraft seems aggressive. Do we think they will roll directly into the 763 fleet that will stick around for awhile?

I’d guess JFK/ATL-LHR. Back in ~2008/2009 when the 764s first got lie-flats, the LHR routes where the first to get the new moded planes.

Delta execs have been quoted as saying that all widebodies will have Delta One suites in 2021. I don't know if the plan to have both Premium Select and Comfort+ (re-refitting) changes that timing. If that's true there will be no old-school 767s, as AA had for a while. They'll need to be reconfigured or retired.

There will be at least four B763ERs that will be retired sometime next winter, frames N171DN, N172DN, N174DN and N175DN, as all are due for mx checks around that time. The delivery schedule for the A339s shows four are due this year, four are due next year, and nine are due in 2021, thus it's likely that as each A339 gets delivered that a B763ER will be retired eventually.

I don't think they can fit 1-2-1.

Maybe they could do "throne seating":
1-1-1
1-2-1
1-1-1
1-2-1
With 34 seats replacing 40 seats in a 1-2-1, an alternating 1-1-1/1-2-1 seems very likely. That would work out to 35 seats, which is just one off from 34.
Also, the 20 W seats would be three rows of 2-2-2, plus one stand-alone pair of seats, which would fit in the current Y+ area of the 764 if you took out the closet. Finally, the 21 Y+ seats ad 163 Y seats should fit where the current 178 Y seats are, losing one row to allow for increased Y+ pitch and additional space for the W cabin.

When I saw 4 lines, that was exactly my guess: they must plan to do the 763s at the same time. Just a guess
