1/14 - MSP- BIL on a CR9 Atmosphere: C+ at window, 2 of 2 for 2 seats at gate, cleared
1/18 - BIL-MSP on CR9 Atmosphere: C+ at window, 2 of 2 for 4 seats at gate, cleared.
1/25 - MSP-CUN on 739 (award ticket w/companion): C+ at window, 7/8 out of 10 for 3 seats.
1/28 - CUN-MSP on 739: F at window for me +comp!
GM:
5/9 - MSP-SAT on CR9 (X fare w/companion): C+ at window. 1&2 out of 5 for 0 seats, 2 seats disappeared around T-4 hrs.
5/13 - SAT-MSP in CR9 (T fare w/companion): cleared at T-48
5/19 - MSP-ORD on a U fare: was originally 17/27 for 1 seat on a 717, but then they swapped to a 738 at T-3. There were delays going into ORD from storms, so the previous ORD flight had boarded but not left yet. GA got me an aisle C+ seat on a 739. I saved 2+ hours in the terminal as my original flight was also delayed.

5/3 JFK-LAX, applied a RUC - at checkin I was 3 for 0 of 53, at the gate the two people ahead of me, diamonds I assume, cleared and I was left no.1 for 0 seats with 54 behind me.
At least on the redeye return three days later, I cleared into D1 when I applied the RUC three weeks out.

How does one get cleared at T-120? I never see it then. Other than within an hour of the flight, the latest I have seen it go through was ~6 hours and I think that was only because someone else changed their itinerary and a FC UG became available and I was next in line. T-120 seems like an odd duration. Usually gate upgrades don't take place until the agent gets there and that doesn't happen until about 1hr before flight.

PM flying MSP-BOS-MSP, which I find a tough route for upgrades to F.
All of C+ on the outbound was full at time of booking (three weeks before flight) and no C+ seats opened up. Then today, at T-3 days, I received an upgrade to F. Miracle of miracles!

5/24 - MSP-RHI on a CR2. No upgrades.

35th flight of the year today and I am sitting at a 26% success rate on upgrades as a DM. (I created a spreadsheet to track it this year finally, and this is only into F I dont count C+ as an "upgrade")
I either a) buy up if i want it or b) dont even look at the upgrade list anymore and just wait to see if i get a paper printed out when i board.
I had better luck 2 years ago as a PM then i do this year or last as a DM.

My ORD-RDU CR9 last night that had cleared at the window, cleared another 3 of 5 at the gate. C+ was almost completely empty, only 2 seats taken.

Just sixteen domestic segments this year, but I am at 100% to FC so far. Just various routes out of BWI, MSP, ATL, and DTW. Remaining trips include Labor Day and Thanksgiving, so I really doubt I will run the table for the year.
