1/10: BOS to TPA and both me and niece cleared to FC 48 hrs prior to flight
1/14: TPA to BOS, 1 and 2 of 11 with 0 seats

Flew ATL-CLT Monday morning, I had bought FC, but checked and the upgrade list was 60 for first. We flew out with 2 empty first seats.

One more trip to add... was originally booked on LGA - DTW and was granted an upgrade to F at the DM/PM window, but I had to change my flight plans. Still LGA - DTW but a different flight. New flight got upgraded to F the day after the change (i.e. after the window opened, but well before 24 hrs.)
The only really weird piece was that I didn't get the C+ upgrade on the CR2 (in spite of being 1 of ??? with 2 seats open) because apparently they decided not to process those? I dunno. The other 2 C+ seats were never filled, and a bulkhead seat in a CR2 on a half hour flight isn't exactly the lap of luxury, so I don't know if I'd call that a "miss".
Otherwise, I'm batting 1.000 on upgrades and 1/1 on RUCs.

Then, 2 more names showed up on the F list, but did not look like they were processed, and we left with 2 open F seats.

Diamond on a T fare with companion on 1-17-19.
DL 875 SRQ-ATL were 1 and 2 of 28 for 1 seat. GA asked if we wanted it and declined. Interestingly they upgraded my companion who is a lowly FO and was #2 on the list.
DL 2978 ATL-BNA were 6 and 7 of 44 for 3 seats. No upgrade.
2 of 6 for F upgrades in 2019 (Im counting the flight above as one of the 2).

DTW-PVG 01-28 (on the A350 !) clear some weeks ago.

Weird Upgrade Problems Starting This Year
I've run into some strange first class medallion upgrade request issues this year. I had a flight from JFK to SEA. I noticed something looked odd on the upgrade request a few days before hand, I unchecked the request to clear it out, then checked to request the upgrade again. The upgrade immediately cleared (about 3 days in advance). This week I have a flight from SFO to MCO via LAX. Both segments show "Upgraded to Comfort+, Upgrade Requested for". As in the upgrade is "requested" but it doesn't indicate what it's for. Has anyone seen this happen? If I try to clear and re-request the upgrade via the web, it errors out. The Delta app (Android) seems to work properly and shows upgrade requests for first. I called the Diamond desk and they insist that I'm on the list. But there are an abundance of seats available on the LAX to MCO segment, but still not clearing (< 4 days out). I guess they could be holding those seats for sale, but 9 open seats seems quite high for not having any upgrade inventory.

Diamond + companion on a K fare.
1-21-19: DL 1048 BNA-ATL we are 7/8 of 27 for 3 seats (thats a lot of Diamonds and above for 27 on the UG list).
1-21-19: DL 878 ATL-SRQ cleared at the Diamond window.
Currently 3 for 8 in 2019.
