I read on FB that holograms in the official game program are causing problems in the scanner and that this was a known issue from past years? Apparently it was even mentioned on the news that people should put their programs in checked luggage.

My husband waited for over an hour to get through Pre-Check. Clear was closed when he was there, around 9:45am. My flight left at 5:45 am and it was already a ~20 minute wait for PRE when I walked through around 4:30 am.

Just arrived at South Terminal entrance - I was early so figured I'd check it out. Lots of people but tons of staff around to keep things organized - DL, airport, and CLEAR staff all helping.

I've been in a Clear+Pre line about 7-8 mins and looks like I'm maybe 1/3 or 1/4 through. They are saying the full line is 30-35 mins.

So it's a wait, but much better than what the news was showing this morning. When I arrived I figured if I'd used the Intl terminal I'd either be waiting for Pre to open or spending an extra 10 mins coming back to A Concourse.

Just bailed on the clear line as a red coat advised that non-clear SP is faster. 100% appears that way so far

Yahoo article on the mess that is ATL security this morning. All lanes were open but wait times 90-120 minutes. 25000+ passengers went through security between 4-8am and expecting 100,000 for the day:

I flew out on a 10a flight to DEN... left my house at 7a and took Uber to the international terminal. From arrival time at the airport, checking bag, and sitting in the F Skyclub: 15 minutes.

And I'm through. 20 mins in the GENERAL line at South checkpoint. All clear, precheck, and SP lines were longer/slower (me and another guy split at the SP/general entrance and I spotted him still waiting at Xray afrer I came through)

Yeah that tweet says it all.

I liked the 2am UA 777 to LAX and the 3am DL 764 to BOS that ran this AM.
UA left from concourse F and DL left from Concourse T from the otherwise empty airport.
To quote the Offspring, "You gotta keep 'em separated".

F1 and F2 probably would not have been the wisest idea. Convenient, but ... nah.

Any thick paper - especially when coated with metallic film - could cause false detection (or, better described, obstructed scans). I doubt it is that big of an issue, but if it was, it would easily be solved by just putting it in a bin by itself (as I do with any large books or thick papers as it frequently triggers a bag search).

FWIW, the airside of the airport doesn't really seem any busier than a normal Monday. Past security, you wouldn't know it was the day after the Super Bowl aside from the Pats/Rams jerseys and some of the stores selling t-shirts.

Really goes to show how much ATL traffic is usually connecting vs. O/D.

4-8am seemed to be the busiest time. TSA confirmed more than 25000 passengers went through security during that 4 hour period.

Whatever happened to the CLEAR escort to the front of the line privileges? Everyone should demand a refund. If it doesn't work on a busy travel day, what's the point?

The reality of the deal is those rooms aren't really sold out, they are blocked. I have been to a Super Bowl and three Final Fours and there are WAY more fans from each of the participating teams than the Super Bowl which I would say half or more didn't have a logo of either participating teams...and many no team at all.
