I'm not sure whether it's cool or another example of helicopter parenting.

Maybe after all of that hard work raising kids, he just gets some satisfaction seeing his daughter in a respectable job ... and one where part of her job description is to serve him a drink.
Hopefully just sweet and not helicopter parenting.
I guess the answer lies in how the trip ended. If they celebrated together at the end of her shift or if she snuck out through employee exit and lost him?

I have seen similar things on Instagram, a FA posing with parents in the aircraft galley.

What if she volunteered for the shift to get away from family obligations?

I’m not sure if this post is serious or a joke.

Another story I read elsewhere includes a social media post from the FA saying “Dad’s first trip using his benefits was a success!...” Sounds to me like she’s either somewhat new on the job or Dad finally decided to test the nonrev gauntlet, despite the article posted that said he “purchas(ed) a ticket for every flight.” Of course, working on Christmas does not necessarily mean she’s new, plenty of people with good seniority work holidays, some by choice, some because it’s just a regular day on their schedule.

Glad they got to enjoy the holiday together!

It's a term for parents who constantly hover in the background of everything their children do and intervene at every slight hiccup.

Some people think this leads to children who never learn important life skills, such as coping with adversity, fending for themselves, or learning how to use Google.
