I made GM for the first time last December, and I've definitely appreciated the difference over FO. On a 6-segment domestic trip in April, I got F three times and C+ two. In June, I flew to Korea, and on the way back I had a hot 3-hour train ride before reaching the Seoul airport. Being able to grab lunch in the Korean Air lounge and shower made the 13-hour return flight much more comfortable. Most recently, I flew Knoxville-Atlanta-Paris-Madagascar for a vacation. I had 3-4 hour layovers in Paris each way, and took showers in the AF lounge both times. It really makes a huge difference in being somewhat refreshed at the end of a 28-hour trip vs. being completely frazzled. I requalified for GM for 2019, but I'm traveling less for work now (international trips are harder to come by) so it will probably be my last year for a while. I'll try to enjoy the benefits as much as I can.
