It worked out to about 2.9cpMQM. 2-3 seating MDW-ATL (and let's be honest, not getting that upgrade) and 2-3-2 on the TATL. So saved $180 to forgo exit row seats and risk 1/5 middles on the domestic and 1/7 middles on TATL. Still have the rest of the day to change my mind.

once DL schwacked the ability to SDC from F to D1 a couple years ago the schlep kind of lost its luster, but Ive just gotten to the point where I can doze well enough with a Woodford and a window seat for ~4 hours, shower and change in the SkyClub (JFK/ATL/DTW) or after an early hotel check-in, power through Mon afternoon, crash by ~2000, and hit the ground running on Tues morning

It's not too late. There are hotel rooms to be had, even in convenient locations, and the prices aren't even close to the rates for SuperBowl.
