Carnegie Institute for the dinosaur bones and the building plus the associated art museum √

Cathedral of Learning (Pitt) √

the Heinz "factory" √ Kind of . . . . . The Heinz factory, I believe, now makes Del Monte soups, but I did point out the neon continuous pouring ketchup bottle on the current Heinz History Center.
Falling Water - Way too far!
The 9/11 crash site memorial - Also way too far!
He was staying in Cranberry, so, that was a half hour drive off the top to get into the city. Add 20 minutes on the tail end to get to the airport from Mt. Washington. That left about 2 hours of riding around and hot dog eatin' time.

I had to show him the PPG (Pittsburgh Paints) Arena, because, his hotel in Cranberry was across from where the Penguins practice, and, if you read his post in the new Delta photo thread, he thought that was where they actually play.

If you read my post just above, and see all the thingz we actually saw, it would be impossible to have toured them all. It was really mostly a driving around sightseeing tour.

On a scale of 1 to Sidney Crosby, how bad were the tears of Steelers fans in PIT this weekend after learning of Antônio Brown being traded?

I don’t give a rip about the answers, but as a Caps fan I love your rating scale

I'm happy to see him go. I think that, for what the Steelers received, they should've just kept him and benched him.

Morning... I'm so not thrilled with the time change and I'm still sick. I'm going to call my PCP this morning and try to get an appointment.

MAEN!

It's a good thing that DST changes on Saturday night. I forgot to change the clocks the night before, but still managed to get to church on time. Work starts a lot earlier on Monday morning though.

I prefer my daylight at the end of the day.

Today is national napping day.

BTW, how do dogs deal with winter and summer time? Their bodies must stay on the same time zone (based on daylight) but walks and meals would suddenly shift by about an hour as would the times that their humans are home versus away working. Do they sleep longer in winter?

He can decide if he wants to post the chili dog pic!
DT is awesome with a capital “A” baybee! (Cue Dick Vitale).

We had an awesome time. Dave keeps a pretty full schedule with his business so it was even more awesome that he took the time out to literally chauffeur me around. The chili dog is still hanging around in my belly. It was an experience.

A highly recommended experience for all FT regulars. He’s a walking Pitt encyclopedia and a very gracious host and down-to-earth guy. On a side note, for fellow believers out there, please keep Dave in your prayers ‘cuz he’s the genuine article.

Very happy to add add him to my circle of friends and hope to return the favor one day.

Against my better judgement, the infamous “Horta Hears a Chilli Dog” pic (and don’t you dare post the other one, Dave ).

Let’s see who can discern the difference between the hot dog and my portly flanges:

DaveTravels exhibits his mad professional photography skillz on an unworthy subject. Almost as good as my mug shot at the Post Office

The dogs seem to not realize that we moved everything forward an hour. That said, they didn't complain about their dinner being served an hour early.

So you make them go "cold turkey" with their meals being suddenly shifted by an hour instead of gradually easing into the new time zone? They'd be happy now, but it must seem cruel and unusual on annual "fall back" day in the autumn.
