I don't like the idea of happy and Monday being used together except when it's a long holiday weekend.

And, of course, this IS a long Holiday weekend for many as it's MLK Day.

Why didn't I get a long holiday weekend and get today off?

And to top it off, tons of heavy, wet snow is coming down to mess up the drive home. At least I missed the messy commute this morning by leaving early.

part of the joy of being a DoD support contractor is that, even though it's a Govt holiday, it's just another workday from a company standpoint

otoh, a good part of the joy of being a 3/4-time telecommuter is that I can put in my six hours pretty much any time I want to during the day

had a nice view of the lunar eclipse last night from our front porch

I don't know about that. Tomorrow, I'll be leaving very early to head to work, and it's not cruel or very unusual. That said, I'll be dropping Mr. Kipper off at the airport on my way in to the office, and I'll leave work early to head home.

I left the same time as usual: 5:25 am. But it was early enough to beat the snow and most of the commuters. There was pretty heavy rain at the time though. Fortunately the snow stopped before the afternoon commute home, so I dodged it both ways.

Happy MAEN..but also known as itssofreezingcoldIcanbarelyfeelmyeyeballs

A very bracing -10 below zero windchill factor while walking the dog the morning. Needless to say, it was a very short walk. Anticipated balmy high in Greater Boston today is 28.
