My sister is a huge fan of "The Office" and I got her a "Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company" t-shirt for Christmas this year. I shipped it to my mom's house. My mom opened the box from Amazon to wrap it for me and wondered why I got my sister a t-shirt with from a paper company. Obviously she's not as a familiar with the show.

I've got a brother-in-law that currently teaches at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Which is not to be confused with California University of Pennsylvania.

There is a long running joke about SUNY- Ann Arbor due to how many New Yorkers send kids to U of Michigan for college. (I guess when the big option in New York City for some kids ends up being Hudson University, Midwestern winters don't sound so bad.)

I'm enjoying the summertime holidays in Buenos Aires, where a local facility of higher learning is the Universidad de Morón. The accent gets lost in translation, so it looks like you would expect in English...

We have a University of Morons here in the US too. It’s in Ann Arbor, MI.

Of course the best university abbreviation is Fordham University

Also Finlandia U in Hancock MI

probably for a different reason than the similarity of (mis)pronunciation to Robert Llewellyn’s mechanoid character in the BBC science-fiction series Red Dwarf

Happy New Year to all!

Except for the drunk driver I just called the cops on of course. Just watched him get taken away in handcuffs.

Good whatever.

I guess it's 2019 everywhere by now, so happy new year.

My FF account is showing zeroes, so I guess it's time for all those "when will it be rollover" threads.
