I have a meeting later today so I'm very likely to be tardy to the party.

Have fun. I'm not able to make it today. Happy Thorsday. I think we are having wings tonight. Better a day late than not at all!

I forgot to mention, we did not make empanadas tonight. We did make the filling but we will make the actual empanadas tomorrow. Instead for dinner we had dim sum in Chinatown and then got cannoli in Little Italy for dessert.

I'll just take the beef please. Dead cow, with Malbec of course! I missed my fix over Labor Day weekend (COW DO in Buenos Aires).

When we travel to parts with a large Latinx population, we try to snag some empanadas from a local restaurant or bakery. Vancouver had a nice Chilean bakery where we grabbed a couple dozen empanadas de pino last fall. Mmmmm-MMMMMM!!!! Washed down with a nice bottle (or two) of Carmenere, and you're talking good eats!

Pino? Do you mean pine nuts? Or you thinking about pinot noir?
