now that's some serious flying!
I enjoyed a can of chardonnay from Broken Earth Winery at 38000 feet on an Alaska jet (SEA-DCA); convening a mini-DC Happy Hour with Zorak and GrjApp this evening

Happy Twos-Day. I've been off FT a few days. We went camping Saturday night and then came home and celebrated the holiday with a pizza pie and a burrata sampler platter Sunday night. I also started cutting my yard on Sunday and filled the compost/yard waste bin with just the front yard, so I guess that means I shouldn't have waited so long. I need to cut the back yard tonight, but at least it stays light later. Mrs. P is working overnight, so I might finish my chores and then head to the local brewery for their lobster roll special for dinner.

finally got all the cancellation stuff sorted out with the TA we used to book last summer’s CPT trip, and submitted the “Cancel For Any Reason” claim to the travel insurance carrier ... got the following confirmation email from them yesterday
of course my immediate reaction was “Damn! They REALLY don’t want to pay this claim!”
