I would pick San Diego hands down, even if it is in the Союз Калифорнийский Социалистических Республик (Union of Californian Socialist Republics). At least they have nice weather.

Hey, hey, hey. Be nice to my adopted hometown. Many people feel like 24 hrs in Manhattan are enough...and big cities have construction going on all the time. Can we say 2nd avenue Subway??? So there :-P

Kipper, glad to hear you are on the mend. I had a boat thingy last night, sorry I missed the event. At least now my boat has a home. It's not fancy, but it'll do, Pooh, it'll do.

Is your boat's new home called "Boaty McBoat-home"?

Is the boat's new home a swimming pool in your backyard?

not Irish feeling, but Charleston, New Orleans and Savannah always feel a little Euro feel to me. I live in Los Angeles (transplant) and my brother lives in San Diego. I used to dislike San Diego quite a bit until my brother moved there and I experienced the scene away from downtown. Just my opinion, but downtown is a tourist trap full of the B&T crowd and the homeless. The beach communities north as well as some areas inland a bit are quite nice, and more affordable than LA.

Luckily I do not live in Manhattan

What a day. Started at 5am to take my friend from the airport to a vaccine appointment, then getting breakfast and back to the airport for her flight back home. This was followed by a data analytics exam (which wasn't as horrible as I was expecting but by no means was "good"). Just did laundry and cleaned, need to put everything away and then pack. I am definitely going to bed early tonight.

Hootie, being a reptile, is not permitted on most planes. Squeak however is crew-qualified and therefore is allowed onboard; he will be accompanying me on this trip.

I always thought birds fell under the reptile category

EDIT: according to this article, they are reptiles.
