You'd be surprised at how often this happens on some aircraft types. My jaw almost hit the floor when I was flying domestic Delta One on a 757 and heard the purser say "Oh wow, we have an international aircraft today! I've never worked a flight with seats that turned into beds before!"

It seems that a lot of A220's are going mechanical and having last minute aircraft swaps. This past Thursday I noticed a DTW-DFW A220 switch to a 717. N101DU was supposed to do DFW-DTW Saturday and then DTW-DFW-DTW Sunday and ended up ferrying to ATL. That got swapped to a 717. N105DU was supposed to do LGA-DFW-DTW-DFW-LGA and got swapped to a 738, causing 6+ hour delays on all but the last route. Wonder what's going on with these birds! Almost switched to one for my Sunday flight and glad I didn't!

Flew my first one last week from SLC-SJC in 2A
Pros: Large windows. The new feeling of the plane. HUGE PTV with more options than I had found on the incoming 739. Outlets in the seat in front instead of under the armrest like on AA's A-319s.
Cons: Lack of legroom under the seat in front of you. I doubt my backpack or overnight bag would fit and it's also really uncomfortable for stretching your feet out.

A220 issues??
Anyone know why there are a lot of delays with A220 that looks to be mechanical? All the tail numbers show unhealthy amount of red that indicate mechanical-like delays. Today's DL717 is delayed for 10 hrs. DL1770 is also heavily delayed.
