I have a feeling DL is being quite generous on this as a couple of seats have already opened back up. (plane is still showing A220) I’m sure DL will let you use the credit towards a future flight for no penalty at all. Every time I have asked for a credit, I have never been told no yet or charged a $200 change fee to use it.

What? You mean DL always waives your change fee for no reason? That is shocking!! DL has not been flexible at all on this with me or anyone I know. They politely but firmly enforce the change fee everytime without exception. I believe if I claimed injury or family emergency they would waive it, but I'm not a liar so I don't do that.

I have only asked for a credit a few times and had pretty reasonable reasons each time I had to do so. BTW I just saw on Twitter that DL is aiming for a Feb 7 launch date for the A220.

With no new date announced, makes it even harder for anyone who wants to change their flight.
The source was from DELTA, not Reuters, as the wording in the Reuters release was completely different. Therefore as the source was from Delta, there was no need to provide one. My posting was in italics, thus obviously not was not a direct quote of mine.

I couldn't disagree more. There is always a need to provide sources. There are way too many "experts" on here who like to invent their own information and present it as fact. Without any sources, your post sounds a lot like one of those. And yes, believe it or not, typing in italics, or bold, or even all caps (I noticed you tried that too), doesn't change the need to provide sources

For everyone else's sake I have added the source in my original post. You like to disagree with the majority of people on this forum as many others have indicated in the past, without naming sources. By the way, did you re-qualify as a GM again? LOL! And you certainly qualify as a so-called "expert" on here also...like your "highly doubting" (your reply #405 on the 777 D1 Suite Refit Thread) that DL would do 11 rows of Comfort + on the 4-class B777s, when that's exactly what DL is going to do! LOL!

Discussion based on facts and supported by evidence is better, IMO, then unsupported information. Even if they're in italics.

Let's get back to DL's newest plane. PM me if you want to discuss anything else.

When the first scheduled A220 to SEA touches down in June, DL will give a slight dig to the hometown airplane manufacturer for trying to block the DL/Bombardier order.
Both the arriving and departing A220 will be flight "717".
Of course Boeing thought that the 737 was proper competition for the A220 (known as the CS100 then) but the courts thought otherwise. So DL names the flight after the last "Boeing" aircraft that attempted to compete in that segment.
Coincidence or some mild trolling?

On another board, DL cancelled and fully credited the LGA-BOS as well as the positioning flights for one traveler.

Not refund but full credit is still very classy. Hoping you did not advance purchase the overnight hotel room in NYC and you should come out even.

My personal feeling...

The first flight with the new A220, will be from ATL to YUL (Atlanta to Montreal), Delta main hub to the HUB from where the A220 come...

Or from YUL to ATL.

Even after this is not permanent, I think this will show respect for the A220 worker/builder...

Waiting for the new schedule to load, and hoping DL would move ticketed pax to the new first flight. I am not looking for credits/refunds.

I'm sure the locals will show up at the gate in SEA with pitchforks.

Does anyone know when the new schedule load will happen? Overnight tonight? I noticed all of the flights scheduled with the A220 from 1/31 forward have been removed and do not appear in a flight booking search.

Doing a dummy booking in July - I don't see A220 sections on SEA/SLC-SJC, DTW/LGA-DFW/IAH show up in the search results.

The schedule load normally happens early Saturday morning. Did IT botch some database script?
