I love in seat IFE, I hope Delta keeps it indefinitely
In seat seems more reliable than wifi and working chargers both required to use your own device.

I rarely travel with more than my phone and dont enjoy watching movies/tv on my phone.

The multi tasking angle is interesting too, Definitely true for me....as I watch Netflix ane post here lol

On their 777s and 787s, but not on their 757s and 767s.

Given that Delta likes to brag about their pricing premium - I have to assume that yes, they are.

If the screen is on the back of the seat, I'd prefer to go without. People invariably press harder than necessary which I find a little annoying. It's akin to a kid kicking the back of my seat.

Thanks. I think it would suck to be on a TATL without IFE. 1-2 hours is no big deal. I would like a screen on a long haul flight.

I love the IFE. As others have said, the multitasking is easier and Delta has better content than Amazon or Netflix

IFE is a relic, especially after we all take the brain implant chip and have entertainment beamed directly into our cerebral cortex.

AA is just being progressive. Denial of a service really is a service.

"Difference Between DL and AA Just Got Bigger (In This 1 Important Way)"

Bloggers may benefit from using clickbait titles so that people will read them. On FT, we benefit from seeing clearly what to read based on the title. Can we rename the thread more informatively?

Right -- it's so unreasonable on 10-12 hour flight when you need a break from the work (or your TATL redeye when you can't sleep) to watch a movie / tv show

I work plenty hard on my work flights thank you.

Of course, AA takes it one step further in not only is there no IFE, there is no power on these A321s that do cross country trips. So. not only do you need a screen, you need a battery backup.

Have you ever used those things? My last experience was you have to press pretty hard (and often) to get the TV to work.

This. If you want to complain about AA, heckle them for the lack of in-seat power, not the lack of IFE.
