American Airlines logo on Delta flight?
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...820ef128d.jpeg Got a chuckle on the Delta SEA -SFO segment today. I assume it was a catering issue but wondered why the wine tasted particularly poor. Makes sense it was served in an American Airlines logo plastic cup! |
:D Let me guess, operated by SkyWest (who serves both airlines)?
Edit: actually, looks like a 717 if my eyes don’t deceive me with the safety card, so must just be a catering error... |

Years ago I saw a United magazine in a Delta seat back pocket, it was a Sky West plane.

Drinking the wine with a Woodford might also cause it to taste a bit off.

Lol. Found myself on UA one time and discovered a Sky Mag in my briefcase (probably had high hopes of finishing the crossword or something). I may or may not have left it behind the Hemispheres for a future pax to discover. :)

I've had this happen before but it was an actual glass. Had the AA bird logo. BWI-DTW if memory serves.

Interesting to see on mainline! Have had this happen on DL Connection before. A couple times I've even been on the SkyWest (I think) E170/E175 that's only branded as "SkyWest" and otherwise all white so they can use it as emergency IRROPs for any of their mainline partners.

The plot thickens even more! I had a (very involuntary) reroute from a 3-hour delayed DL flight onto AA today. As I shuffled back doing the Group 6 walk of shame back to seat 51E, I noticed that AA's caterer in Seattle is LSG SkyChefs. I'm nearly positive Delta's caterer is Gate Gourmet.
So multiple things had to go wrong for this to happen! My guess is... DL and AA use the same cup vendor so they are packaged similarly. A Connection flight was catered incorrectly (possibly an OO flight, because they serve both airlines, or maybe an outstation where DL/AA use the same caterer). Then, the cups were offloaded on arrival in Seattle, returned to stock at GateGourmet, and reprovisioned onto another flight without anyone catching the error... (side note: AA is not making a great first impression with the in flight service announcement that "We don't provision enough pretzels or Biscoff for everyone, so please refrain from asking for more than one item." Sheesh.) |

What kind of aircraft has a row 51 on AA?! |
Ha. I flew a United flight from RDU-SFO two years ago and got Air Canada cutlery. As there's no catered AC flights out of RDU I wonder where they loaded them.
