Shame if that's the case, especially since they just terminated EWR-AMS. Obviously, they have a critical mass in terms of operations at LGA/JFK, but it's not as if the New York metro is exactly short on traffic demand to/from EWR, either.

AMS had been gone for a few years. CDG being the only widebody flight may be logistically difficult. I once suffered a six hour delay due to MX as DL had to fly in a replacement from JFK. There were no other option and DL didn't interline with UA, at least not for C class. A MX in JFK would likely be solved in 1-2 hours by locating a replacement.

EWR-AMS just stopped last week. MCO-AMS (probably the replacement) started yesterday.

It’s also schedule change Saturday and it may not be cut at all. I just put in CDG-EWR for both 28 October and 19 November and both dates show nonstops on CDG-EWR.

Why would they cut it during the holiday period and bring it back during the usually "dead" February??

No, it is on Delta under the flight schedules tab. Flight 20 EWR-CDG and 21 CDG-EWR. 757-200 service.

Whoops! Maybe I was on EWR-AMS then. I forgot if it was on 767 or 330. I recall there were no other DL EWR lights to Europe that evening; hence I was stuck at EWR Skyclub pass midnight . Was EWR-CDG suspended then restarted?

With Primera Air & Norwegian offering extremely low TATL fares from EWR, I wouldn't be surprised to see EWR-CDG go seasonal. This October, EWR-ORY/CDG will be operated by United, Norwegian, Primera, La Compagnie, and Level.

I did a Google Flights search and found the direct Newark-Paris flight in Delta One during the summer peak travel period for as low as $2,672.

Google Flights calendar mode only gave me a non-stop between EWR and CDG on Delta for a few days in October and November. Really random days.

That's because it appears you searched for a OW...it's likely booking into full J just like the Y fare is booking into B

It has already been listed as a seasonal route.

With EWR<->AMS out, EWR<->CDG is now the lone INTL flight for Delta out of EWR.
