DM requal packet received today 2/14/2018
 

For those who are anxiously watching their mailboxes: Today I received my 2018 DM requalification packet in the mail from ATL.

It contains four "above and beyond" employee recognition certs, a DM card, and two DM brag tags with steel fasteners. The envelope looks similar to previous years, but with new pictures: a runner stretching by the water with the NYC skyline in the background and a woman with roller bag walking through an empty FC cabin. The "personalized" cover letter in the folder is from Sandeep Dube.

The surprise is the card and tags: Instead of metal cowbells, they're heavy plastic in DM blue-grey color with white lettering (no red or black) and the DL widget is translucent plastic so that they look very different from previous years.. My 2MM indication is hard to see and unfortunately (once again) a microscope seems to be needed to read the SkyTeam ElitePlus logo.

I think I'm going to miss the clank of the cowbells unless most people continue to use their old ones, supposedly (according to another thread here) in a breach of etiquette and show of X (fill in your favorite rude pejorative).

This MSP PM got his packet yesterday, probably because it's lighter. Or you could feel offended that mine came first. :D Nothing notably different, still two JWDs, card, and tags. All look identical to the last two years.

nothing here yet for this first time PM, qualified in mid-december...email said I would receive it in 4-6 weeks, but guess its delayed since it was year end

My DM packet came today. Likely the last one I'll ever get unless they <realize the error of their ways and> ease up on the Amex waiver a little. ;)

if i qualified for PM for the first time in mid december should i have received my credentias by mail before the renewal kits were sent out in feb? havent received anything yet and have had issues with not getting all my postal mail. if it is lost will dl send a replacement kit? want to enroll in hkg's version of ge so need a physical card

IF nothing else, I kind of like the new cards/tags just because they are different. What's the fun of getting a tag that's exactly the same as last year?

Got mine last week as well. I, for one, will be glad to see the metal tags go. They get bent up the first time you check your bag anyway!

The red backside of the new tags is kind of a nice splash of color though.

Has anyone seen whether this year's PM and GM (I assume FOs don't get kits) cards and tags are similar? In particular, do they have the clear widget and red backside?

Time to pull this out of retirement I guess...Throwback Time...

I received two packs. I made MM in late January and I received the tags with MM on them on them last week with no JWD certs and I thought Delta messed up and didn't mail them. Yesterday I received the package without the MM status on the tags along with the JWD certs and some other literature.

Nope, no clear widget or red backside, just plane jane. I dazzle mine up with a barcode with my skymiles number on it, tho, maybe I should use red!

I use mine at the Sky Club (Name & SM on the front and Bar Code on the back). Also as Brag Tags on my backpack & rollerboard. Never on checked luggage.

Just received my requal pack today. To say that I am unimpressed with the tags is understatement! What's next, Delta--cardboard tags for next year? Big thumbs down from me. :td:

No sign of my PM credentials yet, although I just received a UA Silver luggage tag lmao.

Still waiting for my last-ever PM credentials to arrive. :)

As of April 2nd I have yet to receive my 2018 Medallion Credentials. Any other DMs waiting for theirs to arrive? I know that for the last seven years, I received them in February, so I'm assuming that something has gone awry?

Who needs any other tags? They entitled you to at least one kettle as a footrest.

The only card you need. This card entitles you to say, "what line?" and a kettle as a footrest.

How long after qualifying until can I expect to receive my 1MM packet?

Got mine in about a month

I qualified mid-January and received the tags a couple weeks later. I received them before I received my 2018 regular diamond pack and thought I got screwed out of my JWD but then realized they had sent the MM pack separate from the regular diamond pack and received that a couple weeks later.

The only thing you receive in the MM pack are the tags that are identical to the diamond tags except they say 1MM in very small letter that you can't really even see. I can't remember if the letter to select my gift was sent in a snail mail or as an email.

I haven't noticed MM being given any special recognition. The only time I was thanked for being a 1MM was one time when I called the diamond desk but my flight activity has been really low this year.

I get thanked for being a MM almost without exception when I check in to a Skyclub. Seems very consistent. Gate agents can be hit or miss, but the Skyclub is usually spot on.

Well here we are in the second week of May, and I have yet to receive my 2018 DM Credential Packet. I have been a DM every year since becoming a DM Charter Member eight years ago and have always received my Credential Packet in February of every year. Any other DMs out there who haven't received their 2018 packet yet?
