working SC shower at LAX
So I may be convoluting my thinking here but I haven't used LAX since DL changed terminals there. Do I now understand that there are 2 SC's at LAX? and if there are two, did I read something about the shower being under renovation in one of them? If all of that is true, can someone point me to the SC with the working showers these days? I'll need to avail myself of those facilities before a red eye EX LAX this coming Thursday night (into Friday morning). thanks for any info.

DL’s situation at LAX now is very hard to pin down. But I believe the majority of the construction is the SkyClub in T3. The T2 is the old Air Canada Lounge that they took over and put DL furniture in. I believe they offer showers but I’m sure someone more knowledgable will correct me if I’m wrong. So best bet is T2.

Last week a Red Coat called and checked and apparently the T3 club doesn't have showers and the T2 club's were under renovation.
Thumbs down cause I really needed to shower but they said none were functional...hope that changes soon

The T3 club doesn’t have showers, and I doubt it ever will due to size.
T2 does, but they are in pretty poor repair because DL inherited the club from AC. They have signs up apologizing for them not being up tot he usual standard, but I have used them in the past - keep checking to see if they are open for your day of travel as I suspect they will periodically take them offline trying to fix them up to Delta’s usual quality standards.
if you have tons of time and are connecting to or from a SkyTeam international flight, the KE club in TBIT also has showers. The rest of the club is ultra lame (we’re in Woodbridge wine territory here), though, so I’d only make the journey over there if a shower is your only priority.

Are you kidding? It's a lucky day that there is even running water in LAX T2 or T3 let alone paper towels. These are Third World terminals that need years of renovation to get up to acceptable standards. If Delta really cared about it's PAX it would threaten to withhold passenger facility fees it collects for LAWA (LAX airport authority) so they actually step up and make some improvements.

I was there late last week.
T2 has shower rooms, but they were out of order that evening. Attendant said they turned them on earlier and water started leaking downstairs, so they had to close them. She was apologetic, but that didn't help that I really wanted to freshen up/change between a long work day and redeye flight (and it was too late by then to use PP to access the KE lounge in TBIT). As one of the toilet stalls was also out of order and the bathroom was generally disgusting that evening, I ended up going back out to the terminal and using a restroom there to at least change clothes.
T3 does not even have space for showers. They did have a tasty noodle soup station, though.

Five years from now, Delta will have the best operation of any domestic airline at LAX; for now, though, they are stuck in the investment phase...

I would like to say that you should probably wear shoes inside the shower...I am 1000% certain that I contracted a foot fungus after using the shower at T2 (station 3) ....
Having never in my entire life having contracted a foot fungus (despite travels in the swamps of Florida & Georgia, Cambodia, Misery (the State) ) I got one there...I even remembered thinking.."hmmm...this shower looks pretty sketchy...."
My gunny sergeant from a long time ago taught me to always pee on my feet in the showers to sanitize my feet if the shower was gross but it didn't work in this case..YMMV!!
I didn't report it but I suppose I could have gotten 5k miles if I did!

My few flights to LAX have had really good service since the move. The FAs have always been very apologetic and try to make up for flying into that dump with really, really good service that actually overcomes the deficiencies of airport.

because every so often someone thinks "I don't see a thread on the new T2/T3 SCs" so they start one and then it falls off the front page or two after a week or two and then someone thinks "I don't see a thread on the new T2/T3 SCs"
