Flew to/from there many times, but haven't connected internationally in the last 10 years.

Itinerary is OAK-LAX-LHR r/t domestic segments on SkyWest, TATL on VS.
I have 3 hr layover on each way.

Am I correct that my domestic flight departs/arrives at T3, while VS does it at T2 ?
Is there an easy passage within security from T3 to T2 on the way out ?
What is the latest on the SC refurbishment at T3 ? Last April we were given ramen in styrofoam and it was supercrowded. Any chance I could use the VS lounge also coming back, JFK-style ?

Delta operates out of T2 and T3. VS is in T2.

There's no airside walkway between T2 and T3 however Delta offers airside shuttles between T2, T3, and TBIT. Delta has a useful map which explains the layout.

Unsure of T3 SC status, it was fairly crowded when I last transited back in November though I do recall a nice setup of grab 'n go style options (wraps, fruit, cheese cubes, etc.)

I connected through LAX last week and visited both the T2 and T3 SkyClubs. The T3 SC is a lot smaller, but I actually preferred it. They have a full service bar with friendly bartenders and a much better selection than the self-serve bars in T2. Nothing terribly upscale, but it's all complimentary. They also had a great DIY asian style soup bar with stuff like coconut milk, curry sauce, chicken, and herbs. I think they also had the same pre-made soups that were in T3.

After the soup and a Makers Mark, I decided that I needed something more hearty, so I headed downstairs for a burger at the Shake Shack. :)

Ask the driver which terminal the shuttle is headed. Some of the people who work the lines (clearly marked for T2/T3, TBIT) put people on the wrong bus which will add unnecessary time to your transfer.

Am I able to use the bus between terminal 2 and 3 when doing a DL-AM connection? I assume the answer is probably yes, but I'm not really familiar with the setup in LAX anymore.

So T2 SC, has standard SC food, which is pretty decent, self-serve bar with top shelf Hendricks Gin and Grey Goose Vodka, for example. Also Mission Heiffewisen in bottles and other decent items.

T3, the grab and go food is now replaced with more standard, make your own salad bowl. THere's a bar, but everything is free, though more premium quality and usual wells. 4 red wine choices each pretty good. It's much smaller, no showers, and tends to go to capacity (was once denied entry even though I"m a member).

The Delta bus goes T2-T3, T2-TBIT, T3-TBIT. All free for anyone, not just those flying, frequent but yes get on the right bus. Usually the attendant is pretty good at making sure you know which one you are getting on but still reports of people messing it up. BTW, there are some Delta flights that depart out of TBIT gate 133, including domestics at times.

If you have VS Lounge access in T2 (which DL PM/DMs do), of course use that one. It's small and cozy but the made to order food is fantastic (make sure to save room for the miso donuts) as well as the bar selection. (Different than the PP period in the morning). YOu'll have to check the lounge hours on your return flight, I suspect it would be open and can get in if you have access.

I've never landed in LAX TBIT from an international flight. I assume they have re-check counters after you clear customs? I'm coming on 2 different airlines so need a real counter than can print a bag tag

Is this available to DMs/PMs on all itineraries or just TATL? The T&Cs seem to indicate the latter.

I've been told VS Clubhouse at LAX is only if flying VS, all other D1 or DM/PM flying int'l has access to the T2 SkyClub... perhaps someone here has had exceptions or different experiences?

VS, or DL, does not matter. The key is flying to/from the UK.

Can access the VS Clubhouse with a Priority Pass but only until 12:30 pm.
