Centurion Lounge Coming to JFK T4

Planned open is 2019, per OMAAT. Hopefully this will take some pressure off the beleaguered SC.
If DL were smart they’d arrange access for international D1 passengers.

lol why? It's going to be more overcrowded than the SkyClub if it's anything like the other Centurion lounges.

Good for Delta - takes pressure off the SkyClub.

Maybe they can add a reasonable amount of restrooms to the T4 SkyClub.

If it's anything like SFO and the Amex / United Club setup there...you'll want to use the SkyClub if you want to get work done with the Amex club near security taking the people who get excited about the free food.

It’s going to be 15,000 square feet so hopefully they’re building ahead of demand.

Also means good news for people with guests or kids, as the Cent let's you bring in +2.

I suspect that Amex will do away with that sooner rather than later.

I'm really excited about this, it's probably the second best (reasonable) thing that could happen to DL pax @ JFK after DL opening a second SC and/or a premium D1 only/dining space on top of the current SC.

The setup at T4 right now is acceptable most of the day, but around the late afternoon and evening it can get extremely crowded - this should alleviate a bit of the peak load and create a place for significantly better food, and might even have some premium amenities that aren't offered in the SC.

Between this and the third LGA SC + renovations, I'm a happy NYC-based DL flyer today.

From the pictures, it looks like the entrance will be next to the Etihad lounge (just past security), and they'll be building out (towards the control tower) the actual space for the lounge. At 15k square feet should be around ~300 seats or so is my guess.

Not really comparable as at SFO the clubs are in different terminals that require re-clearing security to move between.

JFK T4 is also home to Emirates' lounge? (Which is currently closed for renovation)

Reread the post; it was meant to be an analogy, not a direct comparison for DL.
