Sky Club Password Change

The signs still say "sunny" but the new PW is "joy" - at least at B in Atlanta.

It was still "happy" a few days before Christmas, so I don't know when it changed to "sunny", before changing to "joy".

pretty irritating...tired of having to hunt down the code

in the olden days you did not need a code....were there that many people using the SC's internet that inconveniencing customers was the answer?

I would say yes for sure. While not amazing still, I have noticed a large difference in speed ever since passwords were required.

placebo effect

or, more likely, annoyed legit customers who don't want to hunt around for the password

there's no big mob of internet stealers huddled outside the club

This. I rarely bother connecting and just stay on the cellular network on my phone and use the broadband feature of my laptop. The only time I connect is if the cell Network is slow.

MSY & ATL A are happy.

When they told me I said I thought it was "cancellation". Got a good laugh at both clubs.

I liked the system where you entered your FF number. I have mine memorized, so I didn't need to remember to get the password on the way into the lounge or later to hunt around for a sign.

"Sunny" is a cruel password when folks are stranded due to a blizzard.

It's posted right at the check-in desk. No need to "hunt down" the code.

I'd like to see it placed in several more places. In some clubs the check in desk is on another floor.

No idea, but is it possible that they rolled out a password at the same time that they increased the strength & speed of the wifi? If this were true, perhaps there was a concern about a a several whole gate areas (potentially hundreds of people) near the club getting access and then really doing damage to the speed?
