I'm not really sure what you're asking here, are you trying to do a mileage upgrade, cash upgrade, or something else?

As FO:
1/26: DL 782 RDU-DTW 717-200: 19 and 20 out of 28 for F, 2 and 3 of 3 for C+
1/29: DL 4051 JFK-RDU CRJ-900: 1 and 2 out of 6 for F. Annoyingly there was an empty seat in F but the F/A refused to move me up because "only the gate agent can"

99% of my misses involve ATL.
I was thinking that it would get better starting Feb 1 but my LAX-MSY next week is sold out in F. At least I have an aisle C+.
I believe that it will get easier for a while. The non-MQD DM's like myself have to decide whether to do what's needed to remain DM for 2019 and beyond, drop to PM, or go elsewhere. I think that a fair number will either decide to drop to PM or go elsewhere which should thin the ranks a little and improve UG %.

I just completed 22 segments over a five week period; went 15/19 on upgradeable fares (never higher than L); bought an FCM upgrade for $200.00 on an LAS-SLC-DCA itinerary; and had one segment on a CRJ-200. I don't have any travel booked in the foreseeable future, but that could change quickly.

I am 2/4 so far this year. I only bring it up because I was the bubble boy BWI-DTW, but someone did not show and they moved me to F from my C+ seat. The failures were to and from ATL.

For my first flights in 2018 as a DM, I'm batting 100%! All were upgraded at the window, or a few hours before, as follows:
02/09 LIT-ATL V
02/09 ATL-PHL V
02/12 PHL-ATL X
02/12 ATL-LIT X
02/09 LIT-ATL V

IRROP Wednesday (2-7-18) brought me some good fortune. I was orginally on PBI-ATL-PHL with zero chance of an upgrade on either (was 7 for 1 seat on ATL-PBI and 4 for 0 seats ATL-PHL) that would have put me at 2/8 on the year as a DM. Instead I flew the following thanks to a very nice SC agent that helped me:
PBI-DTW was 1 of 36 for 1 seat and cleared about T-55
DTW-PHL was 1 of 14 for 1 seat and cleared while in flight to DTW
Instead of 2 for 8 on the year I am now 4 for 8 on eligible segments. Flying home on a great A fare so no need to worry.
