global upgrade received but certificate still available
I was upgraded on a flight about a month ago using a global upgrade certificate. Just checked today and still have that certificate showing as available on delta.com. Checked the receipt and that segment shows as not upgraded. I know I received a paper boarding pass with a new seat assignment and class listed as “OY”. Does anyone have experience with this occurring in past? Was certificate ultimately taken or available to be used in the future?

It happens. You should be able to use again. Basically your ticket was never reissued, thus it's just like getting an OPUP.

Were you upgraded in advance, or a last minute upgrade at the gate? |
