App is offering Paid Upgrade to First Class on An AWard ticket.
 

I have a PHX-LAX-SFO Skymiles ticket booked for February (paid 11,000 Skymiles RT) and I just went to look at it on the DL app and it is offering me a very reasonable PAID upgrade to First for only $126 PHX-LAX-SFO.

As a DM I always clear these flights at the DM window so I don’t think I’ll bite.

But would I even get any MQMs, etc if I did purchase this upgrade?

I’ve never seen the app offer a paid upgrade to FC on an award ticket!

You get base miles though.

I just happened to notice this today, myself . . . .

Flying Tuesday - PIT/DTW/YYZ & Wednesday - YYZ/DTW/PIT

Tuesday both UGs cleared. Wednesday, I noticed some lingo on the app I never saw before . . . .

On the YYZ/DTW flight, it said something like - - "First Class $123.00"

On the DTW/PIT flight, it said something like "First Class $172.00"

There was a clickable button next to each one of them.

I thought . . . Huh?!?!? :confused: This is an award ticket!

When I saw this post, I was gonna take screenshots and post them, but the offers seem to be GONE!!!

Mine's back. NOW they want $228.21 to UG YYZ/DTW (for a flight of 45 minutes in the air :rolleyes:), and DTW/PIT cleared into F.

Just noticed this for a Christmas Eve flight MSP-LAX. F for $21.45!

This thread made me curious, so I checked an award flight I have 160 days out. XXX-DTW-NRT on the new A350. We booked Economy award for 35,000 miles one way. The app allows for an upgrade to Premium Select for $419 per person. It doesn't allow this for Delta One.

OK, so you won't get MQM, and it sounds like you won't get MQD or RDM either, but let us know after you fly that segment.
