Likely just another reason why LAX is garbage. I flew, not D1, LAX -> ATL with my wife back home on Tuesday. There were about 15 people in the Sky Priority line and there was 1 person checking people in/processing bag. During the time we were standing there waiting around for no reason a 2nd person came. Helped one person and left. They returned shortly and helped one person and left permanently. We were greeted at the beginning of the line by the rudest most aggressive 'sky priority confirmation agent' I have ever encountered. "Are you sky priority" "Yes" "Boarding pass?" I show her my bag with sky priority tag "This is from my flight here I am a Diamond Medallion". "I need your boarding pass sir".

Is this some new measure that Delta is instituting? To totally treat their top tier people like this?
With all due respect, you are not actually one of Delta's top tier people. That would be the Delta 360 members, followed by the many, many diamond medallions. And being a million miler doesn't add much weight to your argument. There are plenty who are 2MM, 3MM and more.

If you could hardly walk, you might have considered requesting wheelchair service.

I mean let's look how amazing Delta makes the D1 checkin sound (and don't see any disclaimer on not being able to access it on the dela.com):

DELTA ONE AT LAXOur valued Delta One customers are invited to an exclusive and personalized check-in experience at Terminal 2. Just look for Delta One signage along the curb when first arriving at Terminal 2.

I wasn't ragging on people with low post counts, I was saying that in some cases the low post count makes it easier to read them all and see a pattern.

Pathetic insult attempt noted; fortunately I have good self esteem

This. As Mrs Lee would surely tell you, I hate asking for help. But if I am physically impaired for some reason, the airport is one of the first places that I will ask for assistance. Long distances, time-critical, carrying extra stuff. This is exactly the time and place to request assistance if needed.

Delta has really hyped the Delta One experience at LAX. I think the OP has legitimate complaints. Those fares are not cheap. For those who advise WFBF, part of that deal is that you get what is advertised when you buy First.

Check-in at LAX has always been a widely variable experience. The elite check-in lines are often understaffed. I am not a fan of the station in general.

+1 and if your merchant fails to provide what's promised, and refuses to make good, you can make an small chargeback on your credit card.

When I call a company to complain, I dont take it as an insult when they say theyll follow-up with the staff. Do you not want them to follow-up with the staff and try to prevent the situation from reoccurring? Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

I agree with the OP that the Delta One experience at LAX does not live up to the hype, and he has a legitimate beef. At the end of the day, the only thing Delta has really promised is to haul OP's butt from point A to point B. All of the rest is over-hyped marketing nonsense. That isn't a legitimate basis for a credit card charge back, even a small one. OP's complaint is with Delta, not his credit card company.

You think a chargeback is an action against the credit card company? Its a legal action to initiate a reversal of payment due to (essentially) breach of contract. The money comes back from Delta, not the credit card company.

That said, OP will have a seriously difficult time justifying such an action.

Sure, OP got a sub-par experience at the airport and did not receive the full value of what they paid for. Also, 5,000 pesos seems low for a PM MM, but on the other hand it wasn't a significant disruption to travel.

Having a valid complaint, and an attitude, aren't mutually exclusive.
