Delta 777-200ER/LR Conversions to 7HD & 7HB. Pre-mods config is 37J/36W/218Y. For all the ERs and the first LR, post-mods config was initially 28J/48W/220Y (7HD/7HB). The post-mods config for all ERs and LRs is now 28J/48W/90Y+/122Y (7CD/7CB).

Modifications are taking place at SIN and the entry and exit dates are based on SIN time (GMT + 8 hrs). Comfort + installation was done at ATL on all the 7HD>7CD conversions, and on 7106 (7HB>7CB). The remaining 9 LRs had the C + cabins installed at SIN.

Two more will go in this month, and be finished by May. The remaining six will be done in Q4/19-Q1/20.

My wife and I are flying D1 on 12/4 from ATL-PVG. When we booked, I was pretty sure it was showing the refurbished 777 but now it's back to showing the current config. I know we're 8 1/2 months out but wonder why it would change. Maybe I was imagining things (though I'm pretty certain it was showing as the new flagship 777 when I booked). Anyone know 2019 plans for this route?

Thanks!

Does anyone know when 7008 is gonna go to ATL for the C+ mod to round out the ER's? Delta's site & app are still showing the non C+ seat map for tomorrow's CDG-MSP flight.

I also take the ATL - PVG - ATL quite often (about 8 to 9 time a years), I am also curious to know when this will change to the new layout.

So I know at this point it's a refurbished 777 on MSP-HND, I'm booked in early June ICN-MSP, safe to assume the new J cabin will be in place by then??

Also, since i'm asking.....2A & 4A are some of the best seats in that cabin yes?

I guess anythings possible. The last legs to get the refurb 777's are: ATL-JNB-ATL and ATL-PVG-ATL. In looking out to 2020 in January and February (....well part of February) Deltas' schedule still shows the aircraft as "777" which is the pre refurb layouts. I guess if DL attempts to get very aggressive on the LR aircraft versions of the trip-7 upgrades, I suggest following what Delta expects to have completed. Out of the last 2 sets, I would believe that DL would be doing the ATL-PVG-ATL first as this set COULD use the ER aircraft or the LR aircraft where ATL-JNB-ATL can ONLY use the LR type aircraft. Again, anythings possible. Keep wishing for the best.

Why not change your routing to DTW-PEK ?

7107, N707DN, is currently enroute from ATL>NRT>SIN for mods. #3/10 with one more, possibly 7104, N704DK, to follow by the end of March. The remaining six frames will be modded starting in Q4/19 and be completed in Q1/20.

Question on 777 MSP-HND flagship flights

i am flying from MSP to HND in business class on April 18 on flight 121. Can anyone personally tell me if this 777 has the new delta one suites? Blog articles say the aircraft should be refurbished but DL doesnt show these seats.

I flew it RT a couple months ago and the flight does have the D1 suites. You should be able to verify this on your itinerary (or when searching at the time of booking) as well as from the seatmap on delta.dumb (not the app or third party places like EF or seat guru). Moreover, you *should* be able to tell on the app by counting D1 seats as IIRC the 777s with suites don't have the second mini D1 cabin while the older configuration does AFAIK.

In fact, I believe that the flagship designation means D1 suites, but when it first appeared, it seemed to mean the A350.

I flew this same flight last month and it was the new configuration with the nice Delta 1 pods (I was in premium economy, but my envy was in full bloom for those fortunate enough to be up front).

I flew the flight two weeks ago. It is a 777 with the new D1 suites. The sliding door failed to close for me and another D1 passenger though...

I had the sliding door problem on an A350, only for me it wouldn't open. I found it a bit scary.
