I flew on United old 777 to Brussels last month. Had an aisle seat. Nothing wrong with it. The Delta One Hereingbone seat feels like a coffin in comparison and I hate setting towards an aisle cockeyed. I also though the content on the IFE and screen on DL was pathetic. So yeah. I personally liked the 777 on UA better than the Old Delta One. As far as food. I just had an awesome jumbo shrimp Thai Curry on UA and that’s the 4th Polaris Flight in a row where I had restraint quality food. I’ll attach US vs DL good picture. It’s really not a close call. UA wins

I am DM with Delta... i matched to United 1K a few months ago. Im sorry if you think my opnions are not credible. I fly to and from work (whever they need me) each Wednesday workingn 7 days on, 7 days off. Thats 26 shifts per year, 52 one way tickets booked. Last year was $40K spent (all tickets are last minute one ways, sometimes Intl) I know thats not a lot of spend compared to UA GS or DL 360 but I have experienced status on all the airlines now fore the passed few years and I have my likes and dis likes. I have come to despise DL. They did not "hurt" me but they have never been good at common sense customer service.

The exclusivity agreement is specific to other North American carriers only.
"United has exclusive North American rights to the layout, while the new Zodiac Optima will be available to airlines in the rest of the world."

I mean, to be fair, there are some valid points beneath all the hyperbole. SkyMiles is crap and DL's int'l J lounge situation is crap. The 767 J seats aren't great and there are a lot of planes with them.

AA -- what are they at 4 different J seats on the 777 alone plus the 788 and 789 seats, the 763 seats, and 757 seats (plus the A321T seats)? Plus half the 777 and 788 seats shake the seats nearby like crazy when you move them though at least they are all 1-2-1. 77W and the Cirrus 772 J seats are among the best J offered by US majors (flew the Cirrus 772 on HND - LAX last December and slept for ~7 hours).
DL -- 764 is ancient and the 763 seats aren't great though at least they are 1-2-1. 777 is ancient but getting D1. A330 and A350 are on par if not better than AA/UA top options.
UA -- Polaris is nice but majority of the time you aren't getting a Polaris E2E experience. 788/789 will be 2-2-2 for the foreseeable future, many 777 remain 2-4-2 if not 2-2-2.

I don't disagree but all the majors have warts on the hard product:

Given the size of Delta's 767 fleet, I don't think they have a choice but to go down to 1-1-1 with the suite. Having the 1-2-1 Vantage seat will simply not be competitive given AA is phasing their 767s out and UA going 1-1-1 (albeit a more space dense design).

Is anyone tracking progress of the modifications? Maybe a list of N-numbers and planned ‘ completed mods, as in past modification campaigns?
Curious how many are done and when the next wave will be entering service. I’m guessing few or none will go out during summer and maybe the next wave is likely to go in maybe September-October.

It will be interesting to see what happens to N863DA. Starting Saturday, DTW-PEK goes back to daily A350 service and there currently are no scheduled modded 777 flights from Sunday on.

Routesonline has the full list for the W18 schedule that runs through March 2019. Still holding out hope SYD gets added back in for Spring in time for my SYD - LAX in April.
The MSP - HND is confusing, don't think it can do a same day turn but they LAX - HND they just added is the A359 so they can't swap at HND like they currently do with the 777. So it seems like an odd addition to be a 777. Would have thought adding an A359 that runs to both CDG and HND from MSP would make more sense. Perhaps that's coming in short order (perhaps 777 going to LAX once the LR frames come online at which point it could go MSP - HND - LAX - SYD - LAX - HND - MSP).
Assume all of these will be 772ER and not LR (hence no JNB or SYD yet)
