Delta 777-200ER/LR Conversions to 7HD & 7HB. Pre-mods config is 37J/36W/218Y. For all the ERs and the first LR, post-mods config was initially 28J/48W/220Y (7HD/7HB). The post-mods config for all ERs and LRs is now 28J/48W/90Y+/122Y (7CD/7CB).

- On the other hand, many people who purchase D1 now will be happy to save a couple of thousand and sit in PE. Additionally D1 seats will go up in price as supply dwindles, so it may be about the same if not slightly better than it is now

Thoughts?
The former. W has already been available on this route for quite some time via JV partner VA. Price sensitive customers have already been able to buy the product they want. Price elastic customers will still spend $$$ to buy "suites". Though personally I'd still pick VA J on this route.

Looks like my first D1S will be on LAX-ATL-LAX legs in August, where as the onward to BRU will be in the older 767 D1. Odd but I'll take it....D1S marketed as First Class.

Would expect one to go to SIN within the next week.

Chances are probably pretty good given that 4 will be done by the end of April (not sure if 1-2 more will follow before the summer). They're taking about 5 weeks each to complete, so even if 6 need to be done in the fall, the last ones would likely be receiving the mods by the time your flight comes around.

7008 in the air now. On ExpertFlyer, it's showing the non-C+ seatmap for its NRT-MSP ferry tomorrow.

With less Delta One seats available how do they make sure everyone who had a seat in the old config gets a seat in the new config. Am I missing something.

They're smart enough not to book the full seat count in the old config. Unanticipated changes will find them making calls to flyers weeks in advance offering to reroute or downgrade for serious $.

Our 21 May ATL to JNB is now showing 29 in D1, but we still have our fingers crossed. We have a follow-on land itinerary so can't accept a reroute that would change the arrival and would not accept a downgrade from a D1suite if available. Hope springs eternal : ) If it had looked more promising this route would have D1 suites, I would have booked the return from CPT via JNB instead of AMS.

I am presently booked mid Sept ATL-CDG. seat map shows one of the un changed 77L's. I have chosen seats in C+ as a PM. Should the aircraft change. Will I be afforded an opportunity to buy up to Premium Select? or has that been established yet?

I wouldn't expect any site to show the correct seatmap on a ferry flight! What would be the point? Why would ExpertFlyer even show one at all? DL 9958 is a non-revenue ferry flight as you wrote!
