SkyTeam to Pakistan

FlyerTalkers-

Can someone give assistance with getting to Pakistan on SkyTeam? Need to get to Lahore and back out of Karachi.

I'll be flying out of Atlanta, and I keep striking out on routings, etc.

I'd hate to miss out on the MQMs, but it's looking like there are no good options.

All help appreciated.

Ed

KLM flies to Pakistan. I assume Saudia has plenty of flights to a lot of different destinations

KLM suspended operations to Karachi a long time ago.

OP your best bet is to fly AF to ATL to CDG and then onwards to DXB/AUH. And then buy a separate ticket to Pakistan.

Or ATL-JFK-CDG-DXB/AUH on AF/KLM and then DXB to Pakistan on PIA or any other non-stop.

Saudia has poor MQM earnings.

That won't earn DL miles/MQMs.

Even though SV has poor MQM rates, it would be preferable to no MQM/MQD on a KE routing. I think AF/KL to AUH/DXB is your best bet to get as many MQM as possible

VS also flies to DXB if that's preferable.

China Southern fly from Urumuqi to Islamabad... But I feel like it's not at your interest.

Thanks for all the helpful replies. From what I can tell, getting to PK from ATL in just one stop is not doable with skyteam (for full MQMs).

Looking pretty hard to turn down sub $4k business class fares on Turkish and on PIA (via YYZ) with only 1 stop....

Friends don't let enemies, much less friends fly PIA. Those initals truly represent the experience flying on them.

I did it quite a bit in my younger days when they were a decent airline. Unfortunately corruption has caused them to go wayside

So there is one more option that most people don't think of...

You can fly DL/KLM to CMB and then catch the Sri Lankan airways ow flights to Karachi and Lahore.
