It would be a shame to lose that much rollover when you're close to the MQD requirement for FO. I hope you have a fun weekend trip somewhere where the ticket costs just a bit more than $300.

I'm always just barely reaching or falling short of MQD because I fly a ton of cheap $200 or so fares so I might plan an early PE run to JNB on VS next year to get a huge head start on MQD. That alone should get me about $6,000 MQD for $1,600. I'll have plenty of rollover MQM this year at least.

This is the offer I got too. I'm a 2017 Platinum, currently calculated as Silver for 2018, but will reach 2018 Platinum with upcoming trips before the end of the year, and have an AmEx waiver.

Interesting price change for me pre- and post-Platinum qualification. FYI, I qualified on flights and didn't end up buying MQMs.
Anyway, I was missing ~2,500 MQMs to keep Platinum and this was my offer:
1,000 MQMs - $795
2,500 - $995
5,000 - $1,295
7,500 - $1,595
10,000 - $1,895
Now I made Platinum and this is my current offer:
1,000 MQMs - $1,695
2,500 - $2,195
5,000 - $2,495
7,500 - $2,795
10,000 - $2,995
This is fascinating because at the surface it would say that Delta is charging a whole lot more for potential DMs vs. potential PMs (which is obvious), but I'd argue that they should factor that into the pre-qualification math because I could've bought bought 10k before, qualified, and still rolled over 7.5k MQMs for $1,895 instead of qualifying with a flight and buying 7.5k MQMs for $2,795.
In other words, if you are on the cusp of qualifying to a higher tear and would consider buying MQMs anyway, just go ahead and buy pre-qualification.
