JFK _ SNN Down gauged for 2018 to 757, No Delta One

It looks like JFk - Shannon has been down gauged from 767 to a 757 with domestic first class seats, prices are at Delta One levels.

Will it have similar some product to Delta one or to that of domestic first? This is a pity as it seemed very busy this year with the 767.

That’s impossible. If there are 16 seats up front they are full D1 seats.

Well DL had the opportunity to convert the five 75Gs to 75Ss, but they decided to make them 75Ps instead, thus having no availability to operate a 75S on this route! Poor planning!

Could Shannon be treated the same as the flights to Iceland?

There are 20 seats up front, as shown on delta.com and expertflyer. I agree it seems that it is being treated same as Iceland.

What a shame - one of my favorite routes as it is DL metal not VS and my grand children live in County Galway. (as an aside totally OT - often fly into MAN on the TATL and then do Ryanair LPL-NOC instead)

Another scenario is that this isn't a route with people buying D1, so they don't bother providing it. More people paying for seats in main cabin is better than operating a non-rev & GUC special.

Less than $2,500 RT for a domestic F seat, what a deal!

Well they definitely won't be selling domestic F seats at those D1 prices, so it will end up a nonrev special.

DL's J pricing on routes like JFK/MSP-KEF, and now this don't make any sense. They're priced to be in line with other TATL fares, but who's actually spending that much for a domestic FC seat? Seems like an opportunity to lower the pricing and make some money. Or open these routes up to complimentary upgrades.

What (other) TATL fares under $2500 RT for D1?

JFK-FRA on the same dates is $2,200. JFK-DUB is $2,338. A host of them are in the $2,500-2,600 range. And that's just JFK.

They had seats for sale? Wish I could have been there! All the fun is in ATL.
