It's about time they figured it out. When MEM-CVG was 2x CR2 the load factors were in the mid 80's. Switching to a poorly timed 1x CR9 brought it down to mid 20's.

I had a connection in CVG back in September and there were quite a few flights listed on the connection GIDS display. Both of my flights were full MCO-CVG (MD-88) and CVG-DFW (CR9). Although to your point the new 6am MCO-CVG flight looks to have terrible loads.

CVG's SkyClub is actually the "Wendell H. Ford Crown Room Club". Therefore, it is the last Crown Room.
I was in there last week, and, south of the bar, there is a freezer full of ice cream treats, such as Klondikes, frozen Snickers, ice cream sandwiches and an orange cream bar. Drool, drool.
This was dessert for me after Gold Star Chili. Delta, please grow the CVG hub and bring back its glory years. Best little hub in the U S of A.

BTW, what's the significance of HEF as your location under your username? Huge Heffner reference?

Have no idea if this indicates where ND76 is from however.

The 6:00 am flight should allow for connecting to the early morning bank of flights.

HEF is the FAA code for Manassas Airport in No. Virginia. It's IATA code is MNZ though. It's one of those annoying airports which has been assigned inconsistent codes, like Scottsdale (SCG/SDL) or Carlsbad CA (CLD/CRQ).

Manassas sounds right, but I wonder how it became HEF. Examples like CVG or LGA (and especially JFK) or IAD are so much easier to explain, although I always feel puzzled about MCO and MCI.

MCO stands for McCoy. It was the former McCoy Air Force Base.

Being frozen (and at risk of thawing), I doubt that frequent flying thieves would stuff their carryon bags with frozen ice cream treats the way some of them do when confronted with free bottles of water or packaged snacks in a lounge.

MCI - it was originally Mid-Continent International Airport.
