I do love the seat itself, comfy, nicely padded. Only wish it was wider and more space from the seat in front. But then it would make the tiny IFE screen even harder to see, especially since they're pretty dim and dull with time.

Can't have it all.

But a 767's coach configuration is already very generous (enough so that some airlines squeeze a torturous 8 across rather than the 7 across we're used to).

The 767 2-2-2 configuration provides more cabin width per seat than Delta's A350 Premium Select product that everyone here tries to claim is equivalent to Domestic F (I personally disagree but I'm in the minority).

I've never flown it so I can't speak to how good or bad it is.. but I can't see it being any worse than Premium Select or an MD80/90 seat.

The last 2 DL 767-300's (non-ER's) appear to be doing charters or military flights. Both did ATL-NKT-RIV on 2019-Jan-07. (N1402A and N140LL).

N140LL is currently en route SJC-BHM (presumably carrying the Alabama football team) and N1402A is en route SJC-GSP (presumably with the Clemson team on board)

Sounds about right. DL flew both teams into SJC as well.

Both Georgia (to MSY) and Georgia Tech (to DTW) got DL 777's round-trip to their bowl games, but DL flies the Top 2 teams in these semi-retired domestic 767's.
Of course those pre-refresh 777's are nothing to brag about either, except for the 12 rows of J.
Two years ago, Alabama and Clemson both flew on DL 747's IIRC.

So, might we assume that these old (oldest) birds are going to the desert after 2019 January Bowl games?

I can tell you that Clemson came in on Ship 1402. There's a photo of the players coming off that plane on SJC's Facebook page. It looks like Albama came in on a similar looking plane.

Looks like they will both be on ATL to SLC and VV from Feb 15th to April 21st. Not sure what they are doing until then. Around 11:00 am departure and 2:00 PM departure out of ATL and then returning at around 2:30 and 5:30. Those birds aren't dead yet.

At this rate, these things will be the last 767 flying in the Delta fleet... Haven't they said they were retiring them as far back as 2016 and now they're flying until middle of 2019?

Normally these 767 come back on the nonstop SLC HNL route for the summer (replacing the lie flat A330 used in the winter). But looks like in April a 757 is on the route thru mid December, with a brief time over the holidays of the A330 returning, then back to the 757. I hate to say it, but I'd prefer the wide body domestic 767 over a 757 on the route.

I've never flown a 767 domestic on Delta but I'd love to!

In Y no issue. It's F that is awful. The seats would basically be coach seats on any other aircraft.
