6 hours at JFK
In December, I have a 6 hour layover at JFK before boarding a flight to Israel. Any suggestions on how to keep busy? It seems like no man's land - so long that I will get very bored, but too short to leave the airport and go anywhere.

That's too short of a layover to go into Manhattan, but if you have pre-check and you're going at a time where things aren't super crazy, you could escape to somewhere near the airport for a quick bite to eat or something.
Reminded me of this blog post: http://viewfromthewing.boardingarea....ka-restaurant/ - you could grab some Sri Lankan food. I'd recommend taking the AirTrain to Jamacia and walking from there, it looks like it should be something like 30 minutes each way, which leaves you some time to grab a quick bite.
Alternatively, the SkyClub in T4 is a solid place to grab a nap and just hang out. The Sky Deck probably won't be open in December, which is too bad.

What time is the layover ?
I have spent many nights at JFK overnight wondering around the terminals. It kept me busy for 8 hours one night. You can freely go between terminals and there is a 24 hr dunkin. But if you are there during the day it will go quick.
