You can use Twitter to send a DM if you have a Twitter account.

Twitter or call in. Good luck.

Called about an ORD-ATL flight with 8 open FC seats and they wanted 30K miles. I laughed and hung up.

A change fee to use miles to upgrade? That doesn't sound right.

Probably fee needed to upfare to lowest upgradable fare class. Most just assume any coach ticket can be upgraded.

Not sure if these values are still current but there's the wiki on this thread:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showwiki.php?t=1694851

(the thread title is not one that you would think would have this info, but there it is)

Weird, it works for me. FWIW here's the link for the whole thread (vs the attempted direct link to the wiki in the previous post), see if that works?

Is there any luck with upgrading ATL-JNB to D1? And is it really 115k Miles one way?

It's generally tough to get upgrades on that route.

Where are getting 115K from? Wiki currently says 35K for Y/B/M, and 80K for H/Q/K. Sounds like you are relying on old Points Guy blog post which is no longer correct.

Note: Circa May 2016, Delta has backed down somewhat on the amounts listed below. The wiki is in need of updating. In the interim, jump to post #353 for partial updates. Amounts in green have been updated or re-confirmed, while amounts in black are original and it is unknown (and unlikely) they are current. It is likely that US-Southern South America closely matches US-Europe, and that US-Middle East and US-Africa closely match US-Southwest Pacific.

Domestic (except JFK-LAX/SFO, Hawaii, etc.):
Y/B/M: 15,000 miles
H/Q/K: 20,000 miles
L/U/T: 30,000 miles

If you don't clear before the flight, can you get activated by the GA on the waitlist? I thought I remembered reading something about if you don't clear prior to day of the flight, that you won't clear.

Maybe it was 3 hrs prior or something?

Can't find that post. I've used miles to upgrade a Q fare, ATL-CDG. Hoping for the upgrade.
