Flying into PBI on Sunday 9/10, if the current track holds PBI should be minimally affected

I have flight into FLL tomorrow and a flight out middle of next week so I'm stuck. Don't want to go and get blasted by a hurricane but the flights shouldn't be impacted at least.

Sadly, no, as it is predicted to turn and walk straight up Florida on Sunday.

Looking iffy at the moment for sure, but hurricanes have been known to change course (for better and for worse)

I am supposed to fly BLR-CDG-ATL-DAB on 9/10, will be watching this closely for sure. I sure hope I can make it back though I wouldn't mind spending an extra day or two in India.

Have updated the first post with predicted path. Likely to have landfall on florida at the weekend (at the very least 40/50mph winds).

On a lighter note, this webpage is beautiful! https://earth.nullschool.net/#curren...-56.211,16.706

Latest advisory shows Irma as a Category 5 hurricane with 175 MPH winds, eventually getting very close to South Florida as a strong Category 4

A waiver for PUJ seems very likely at this point...

I am surprised Delta hasnt issued travel advisory for the Dominican Republic and or Cuba yet.

Hell when NYC gets a fart of a storm they issue them days in advance.

I'm certainly not psychic, but I expect additional cities to add to the waivers (across airlines) today. To date, none of the US3 have added DR or Cuba to their waivers, but I expect that my change soon, at least for DR.

It should come soon. There hurricane warning was just issued for the north part of the island and the one for the south coast is very likely to be issued as well.

Unfortunately, I should have known better than to open my mouth. On the FAA Irma teleconference this morning, the CWSU said they anticipate a further shift of the track to the northwest...

I noticed a massive run on airline tickets out of South Florida through Friday. Based on the current storm track -- which, obviously could change -- I would think all Florida airports from Central Florida south would be closed beginning around Saturday. Good luck.
