HURRY! Delta A350 Business Suite 9 Seats Open Low-Level Award!

While it's a lovely thought that everyone would read my blog, I know that's not true, so sharing this exciting news with FTers.

[...] I stumbled across the following Delta flight on the new A350 Atlanta to/from Seoul with incredible amounts of award availability in business class.

On many days, the flight has nine (or more) award seats in business available.

The return flight (Seoul Atlanta) has lots of award availability as well, though a little less than compared with Atlanta Seoul. [..]
Skymiles are easy to get, but hard to redeem. If you fly after March 24, 2018 on this route, youll get to fly on what may be on of North/South Americas best international business class cabins.

Not worth 130,000 miles one-way if you ask me, though acceptable for 80,000 one-way on the few dates I see have it.

It doesn't look like it. I can get to the booking screen for only 80,000 miles and $5.60 in taxes, fees, and charges.

Just booked RSW-ATL-ICN-BKK in First/Delta1/Business for 80,000 Skymiles next July. A350 ATL-ICN and Korean 777 from there. Good value for Skymiles.

You didn't get charged the 15,000 mile "penalty" for having a partner airline in the award ticket?

No, since the TPAC segment (ATL-ICN) is a DL flight.

I see, so the "penalty" is charged only if the partner airline is operating the trans oceanic flight..

I would hope there's no penalty for taking intraAsia flights to destinations no longer served by DL.

Smart move on Delta's part. They probably realized that they were over capacity for the price they are asking for the suites. Better to fill up with award PAX as capacity control vs leaving a bunch of seats open for last minute NRCs.
