Coach seat info

This may be one of the oddest questions today, but I can't find the answer on the Internet. Is there a diagram that would show a delta coach seat. Looking at armrests dimensions, distance between seat and armrests, etc.

Any help is appreciated!

Distance between arm rests must be specified by aircraft, by cabin, to meet a DOT rule on child seat fit. Delta has it in its aircraft web pages, Child Seat Fit Guide. Delta also cites seat pitch: the distance between a point on the seat and the same point on on a seat directly a row ahead or behind.

Arm rest width? I don't know of a source.

Limited info available on Seat Guru, but nothing on armrests:

You are welcome. :D

BTW, the arm rests are removable and the spikes are slightly shorter on the CRJ emergency exit row seats... to allow clearance for removing the exit doors.

;)

It would really be interesting to see one of these seat charts (if they had them) from the 1970's. To compare seat sizes and leg room then vs. now.

For OP, I'd venture a guess and say the armrest dimensions on a 767 are about 1.7" x 14"

This website has some pretty interesting "old" seat maps, but not from the 1970s. Overall, seat width isn't much larger, if at all, but pitch seems a whole lot more.

Of note, Delta had 10-abreast on the L1011, which is 3 inches narrower than the 777.

Huh? I remember Delta L1011s as 2x5x2, as shown here. 2x5x2 was also common to the AA, UA, CO and NW DC-10s of the era.

If DL acquired a few L1011s during the Pan Am merger, those birds might have kept the 3-4-3 config until they shrunk the J cabin and converted the Y seats to 2-5-2 like the rest of the fleet.

The power ports are slipped over your head, along with a wet sponge, after you are seated.

Those are the old style seats. No power. You will recognize the newer seats with power, they look like this:
