Far from fine dining but if you want to eat at an Atlanta Icon try varsity in F food court. I actually like their food but it is fast food not like One Flew South (which I think is overrated)

Exactly. From E, there's no choice, but from F you can do TSA security upstairs in F too or even (not recommended) take the airport shuttle bus to North/South and go through TSA security there.

Yes, that is the way every international airport in USA works for connecting from international flight passengers. Very different from other parts of the world.

Hey, any updates on the restaurant question? I will have a 2.5-hour layover in ATL right at dinnertime tomorrow, connecting from DTW to MSY. I think I last flew through ATL about 10 years ago and have never had occasion to eat there. I have no idea what terminal I will be going into or out of (gates still unassigned) but I assume regular DL flyers will have a clue on this!

For me I still highly suggest One Flew South in E. I have a 3 hour connection on Monday and am really looking forward to it! Additionally Jekyll Island Seafood in F always looks interesting when I pass it, but have never tried it.

I go out of my way for the Bistro Chicken over brown rice at Nature’s Table at the E foodcourt.

Definitely One Flew South in E. Pricey but great sushi. There is also Ecco upstairs in F. My kids also like PF Changs in A.

My favorites are Cat Cora’s Kitchen (A25), Chicken + Beer (D5), One Flew South (E food court), and Ecco (F mezzanine).

And then there are some good chains (PF Chang’s, Carrabba’s)

Usually grab something in the SkyClub, but if we have a long layover, say close to 3 hours, we still enjoy OFS. Can't remember the last time we ate anywhere else.
